Thanks Chap :-) Could I hear people's thoughts on my international postage prices please? They're based on a 200g small package (+cost of packaging itself)worth £50 being shipped, signed for, within 10 days (usually 2-3 obviously!): 2nd Class Royal Mail international signed for: Australia/Japan £13 All of America: £11 Europe: £8 I don't know if I'm seeing all that many bids from these folk yet? Do these prices strike people as too high? I'm loathe to offer non signed for/insured postage as some of these items should hit quite a bit of value. |

shipping is ok I think. Prices from Austria are even a bit higher. Thing is I think there's not too much demand for Epic miniatures any more. There's one or two odd things people are after (rare FW stuff, airplanes especially), but the common things, especially now there's so many great 6 mm manufaturers out there, aren't going that well on ebay I think. |

Give it time, there's ages to go yet. I don't take any notice of my items' prices until the last hour. I do think it's a shame you've listed them in separate lots. Nobody is going to buy the whole army (since there's no way for them to know up front how much it will cost), and given the unique paint scheme they're probably all going to end up stripped, thus negating some of their value in the first place. Still, with the way things work, they're probably still worth more that way. |

Yep, although I'm just too addicted to watching everthing slowly creep up, level out, give me the heebie jeebies that I might not get want I want for it all and then skyrocket/fail to fetch the price i thought at the last moment! It's like some sort of super addictive sport...interstingly you can also tell which units people value more when comparing items that are alike in rarity by looking at price/watchers etc; Skorchers, for example, are a definite favourite right now; and so they should be! Other favourites outside of the rare/super awesomely painted scheme of things go as such: Ork warbands, Fighter Bombers and Eldar Warlock Titans...Imperial Guard infantry on the other hand...no one seems to give a toss! I had thought carefully about whether to split the armies up; the guard especially. Whilst the orks were halfway through being stripped and all the old Goff models updated into my bright red scheme I reckon I could only have got 2-300 for the painted minis' as a whole...far less than their potential I believe. The Guard meanwhilst; including the Titans (which I doubt will sell for the money I'd like; another time perhaps)...well, I had a figure of £1500 in my head. There's a lot of miniatures, many of them hard to get, and all of them superbly painted; and who I ask has got that kind of money right now?! Whilst I'd have loved to kept them all together I do need a guaranteed decent amount for all this lot and in the past I HAVE found that people do tend to try buying miniatures in lot's in order to have a good start towards a playable army; my Crimson Fists especially (about 7000pts worth) ended up selling to mostly to 3 main bidders 2 of which messaged me afterwards regretting they didn't get a few more bits round them up to a playable force. I therefore have high hopes that I can bring in eBay's collective interest enought that I'll see similar behaviour this time and at least a few good portions will go to collecters who'll simply put it on the table ready to game with. After all, there are plenty of cash rich/time poor folks out there... Lastly, at least with the Orks i am seeing the well painted stuff go for a higher price right now: it's easier and more justifiable for an Ork player to add units from a different clan whereas IG guard players tend to be a bit more anal in my experience! 5 days and 21 hours left!!!! Good thing I'm going riding in wales for at least 3 of those days! |
