I wish I could figure out an effective way to 'copy' the treads. If I could, there would be CIs for anyone who wanted one.

I'm sure I saw a post by E&C saying he knew who the manufacturer of the plastic tracks were and where to buy them. Pop him a PM and ask.

the threads were bought by GW from an external provider; the original model was a cheap 1/76 M113 model. It can still be purchased, I'll see if I can dig the exact reference. (yep, 1/76th apparently. Slightly strange scale choice, but well, it is what it is).

Found it. The tracks from the 1/76th JB Models/Airfix M113 or M113 fire support should do the trick.

You can see the sprue here.

you may buy a 8£ one here for example, but actually these models should be relatively easy to find anywhere in the world.
