Hey guys, I’m having another reluctant sell-off of epic models, as I have literally zero income all year and I don't have enough money to pay my rent and bills for the coming month. Managing till September (the earliest I can get a job) is going to be quite a challenge... even if I do find somewhere to live in a tent this summer and possibly dabble with living on freegan food from the bins of a local supermarket. Lookup glyng on eBay UK to find A list of most of what I’ve got up that may of interest: 25 Tau Hammerheads and Devilfish + Stealthsuits and Command 3 x Stormswords 2 x Lucius pattern Shadowswords 9 x Basilisk Platforms 17 x FW Leman Russ, various kinds 40 x stands of Catachans 3 x lots of OOP plastic Epic40k IG Commanders, Primaris Psykers & Coms. Chaos Demon Engines of Khorne Multi-part FW Space Marine 5 x EpicA Space Marine Land Speeders with Multi-Meltas EpicA IG Sentinels EpicA IG Storm Troopers Rare 80s GW Art Books (the John Blanche one is particularly good) and Xenology Imperial and Chaos Titan heads and a Deathstrike Cannon Ork Gunfortresses, Dreads and Killa Kans Half a dozen Ork Squiggoths Great Gargant and a Slasha Gargant BFG Ork Kill Kroozas and a load of smaller craft Squat plastics and an Overlord 8th Ed Warhammer Rules Exodites A company of Grey Knights + Dreads and Land Raiders and a nicely painted 2,500 Orc & Goblin army are going up again in time, but I have an essay to write first. Thanks all! Glyn |

That sucks dude Due to your circumstances, you should try a silent auction on this site and sell stuff to the highest bidders. That way you would get the same price (most likley) and save on all the ebay fees etc. I will be looking as well. |

I doubt the people around here would compete on price with eBay for the likes of the various OOP FW models, or rare GW books. |

Maybe and maybe not. For a consistent person who is known as well as GlynG is on here, I would think that people would not mind paying a good price for such items. Then again, maybe the groups I hang out with are different and not so frugal to help someone out... At the end of the day, if the silent auction does not reach a respectable figure for GlynG, he could always use eBay as a last resort. It is just another option to help out a fellow enthusiast, that's all. |

This seems to be a thread more common each passing week. If the world spins into turmoil, Epicollector will end up with every Epic army in the world. |

Thanks guys! The main reason I’ve gone for selling on eBay is I don’t really know the value of things and would probably undervalue them if asked to name a price for friends/people here – for example if you’d have asked me to guess the price my last big lot of stuff would go for on eBay I’d probably have estimated £500-600 whereas they actually went for £1,100 and there were things that went for a lot more than I’d thought and others that went for a lot less. I realise I loose around 10% from eBay fees, but it determines a good market price for things, without me having to think about it, so I don’t mind it too much. The idea of silent auctions for some stuff could be possible though, I’ll have a think. For clarification I’m not planning on getting rid of all my epic or anything; I still want to keep a good collection, just not the insanely ginormous one I had. I need to seriously downsize generally anyway as I have no home to fall back on or store things since my only family passed away, and the less stuff I have to ask around if people would mind storing for me while I go live in a tent and off travelling is all for the better really. |

+5 points for keeping at least some Epic. -20 points for using the non-word 'ginormous'. |
