That crop of nice looking IG epic models has appeared on ebay again, for the third time this summer I think now, same sales pictures, same wooden desk background, same models? So im now wondering, are they safe to bid on or is it a re-caster?

He sells similar lots to these every couple of weeks - I've bought some and not had a problem. He iether is a good caster or works at GW

You may have a point those do look familiar.

His mine clearing and bridging vehicles are made of awesome though. Were they made on Chimera chasis I might have bought them.

I'm not overly suspicious; he's selling lots of OOP plastic pieces (nigh-impossible to recast convincingly unless you use some serious resin kit, and even then, why would you bother to recast plastic IG sprues?), he's selling a Capitol Imperialis and a Hellbore with the original plastic tracks, and he's selling metal infantry (hard to cast, and again, why would you bother if you could cast up Leman Russ more easily?).

Looks like an old time collector getting out of the game, someone who's had a windfall of all the Epic and is just getting rid of it all, or an old time collector who is also a GW staffer (who is thus supplementing his sales of old stuff with a feed-through of new stuff).

Not a single complaint in his feedback of recasting or of metal components that should be plastic.
