| Post subject: | Epic at Bring Out Your Lead 2023 |
BOYL, or Bring Out Your Lead, is an Oldhammer-themed event. It takes place each year at Foundry (the company that Bryan Ansell set up after selling GW and Citadel), near Newark in England. This year it's on Friday August 4th to Sunday August 6th. https://www.bringoutyourlead.co.uk/ On the Friday this year I'll be running a series of participation games of Epic 40,000. SESSIONS AND PLAYERS Morning, afternoon, and evening sessions, with up to four players per session. Although if there is a group of players that want to do a longer session we can combine morning and afternoon, or afternoon and evening. SCENARIO This will be The Sulphur River scenario to capture two bridges (https://thehobby.zone/.../The.../Refigh ... rRiver.htm) on the same river as Bommerz over da Sulphur River which came out the following year! GENERAL No previous experience with any edition of Epic is needed (this edition is very quick to pick up) and I will have Ork and Chaos* forces for players to use, but I'm also very happy for players to bring their own forces! I can also help write up army lists ahead of time. *Weirdly enough, of the old factions it's only Squats and the Imperium that I don't have much of. So no Imperial vs Ork face-offs unless someone brings an Imperial army! OTHER EPIC GAMES AT BOYL There should also be a large 2nd edition siege game on Saturday, details to be announced. P.S.
