Was really hoping to sign up for this one but haven't been able to get the day off. Can I ask when the next event is planned for, and if its likely to be in Bristol? |

Hey Pacific, the next Epic UK event is in February @Battlefield Hobbies in Daventry. After that we'll have an event in Surrey (early April) and then we'll have another one in Bristol in May. Keep an eye out on these boards and FB for dates when we announce them. Cheers Reedar |

Excellent! Thanks Reedar I shall keep an eye out. One more question if that's OK - how is the tournament for proxy forces? I have a pre-heresy World Eater army. The 40k World Eater army list doesn't fit, so looking at the allowed forces the Blood Angels list would probably be closest, with Beserkers counting as Death Company. Otherwise it would be fairly standard. Would that be permissible? |

The only word of caution; just make sure things are clear for your opponent, otherwise it can get very confusing in the middle of a game. E.g. "These tactical marines are Chaos Space Marines today, THESE tactical marines are Chaos Havocs, and THESE tactical marines are Chaos Chosen" is a no-no. Whereas, "My tacticals are CSM, my Devestators are Havocs, and my Scouts are Chosen" would be fine, as it is consistent within the models being used in the game. Hopefully all makes sense! ![]() Cheers Reedar |

Awesome thanks a lot Reedar, yes that makes perfect sense. Hopefully in this case it should be straightforward. Berserkers = Death Company. Everything else is as advertised. I think we have all been in the Necromunda campaign when the pistol armed ganger is actually carrying a tiny pocket lascannon, so I wouldn't want to inflict that on anyone. ![]() Thanks again! |

Morning all, quick update to say that all lists have been submitted, entered into the Epic UK mainframe computer, and we now have a first round draw for everyone: GlynG (Siegemasters) vs Tiny-Tim (Steel Legion) D3th3n (Tyranids) vs Stevekcole (Codex Marines) Nat (Skitarii) vs Rug (Biel-tan Eldar) Jon (Steel Legion) vs Blip (Thousand Sons) Reedar (Feral Orks) vs Ross (Ulani) A quick reminder that the first round of Winter Warmer will use a variant scenario. It's a tweak on the standard GT, and full rules will be sent around ahead of the weekend. Cheers Reedar |

Thank you to everyone who came along to Winter Warmer at the weekend just gone. It was great to meet up again, get to know some new faces, and kick off the 2023 season in style. When the dust had settled, Reedar had taken top spot with his Ferals, ahead of Tiny-Tims Steel Legion, and Stevekcole with his timid Codex Marines. Ross took home the best painted award with his gorgeous Ulani, Blip was voted most sporting in the process of securing the coveted wooden spoon. In terms of the Premiership & Championships, the early pacesetters are Reedar & Rug in the Premiership & Championship respectively. I hope everyone had a good time, it was certainly a smooth event to be involved in, and look forward to seeing everyone again at some of the upcoming events: FSA at Battlefield Hobbies in Daventry on Feb 18th. Chain of Command in Aldershot on April 1st Cheers Reedar |
