I see quite a bit of material here for UK-based tourneys and get togethers, but not quite so much about events in the US. No offense, but the UK is a long, wet drive.

The obvious "heavy hitters" are Adepticon, Origins, and GenCon - though there are a host of smaller venues/cons throughout the US.

Is there interest in a US gathering/tournament?

There's a decent community spread between Baltimore to Boston that has two or three different sub groups. We just had a tournament of 9 or 10 a couple weeks back at Cold Wars in Lancaster, PA. NEAT happens in CT every year in June and usually draws upwards of 20, then back to Lancaster for Fall In around early November. Dave runs Epic events at Adepticon each year, but there's been trouble getting enough traction for a full tournament.

To be honest, I'm not sure how strong the community is outside of that metro east I-95 corridor. There might be some small pockets, especially with the interest in AT18, but I havent heard too many rumblings.

Ya, the biggest is NEAT by far at the moment. I haven't had much retention at Adepticon aside from the 2-3 guys from the Northeast group that come out wih me.
