What's the horror match up for that Iyanden list then? Anything that can hold off from bringing its units on for longer than you? Necrons or landing craft marines maybe? I don't like dark eldar into that match up with the revised portal rules at all. |

Are the Dark Eldar Webway rules going to be brought in line with those the rest of the Eldar lists? |

Necrons are fine, as you can kill the monoliths pretty efficiently and they have no aa usually. Air assault marines with strong activation count and minimal units starting on board would be a nightmare however. |

I was referring to the portals being blocked if someone is standing on it rule (which is a massive nerf to all eldar lists bar biel tann) |

Cheers to all for a good weekends gaming. A (very) brief summary: Game 1: Steve - Krieg See above. I was never going to win, but I did hold out for a 2-0 loss on turn 4 (and that was only beacuse I made a very stupid mistake in not moving a unit to contest on of Steve's onjectives giving him defend the flag). Game 2: Duncan - Dark Angels Duncan's list consisted of nothing but terminators. We played corners - I covered my entire half in scouting units. Duncan declined to bring anything in until turn 3. I just sat there on overwatch. When he came in, he broke a couple of land speeder units, but not much else happened. I was able to break the three terminator units in my half of the table to get a win. Game 3: Dave T - Sisters Dave outmanoeuvred me, but marine resilience and some fortunate combat results meant in the end we were contesting most things and the game was a flat draw. Game 4: Glyn - Krieg Corners. Glyn made a big mistake and garrisoned his small units (AA, Medusas) forward. This meant my garrisons could all engage them on turn one. By the end of the first turn Glyn had lost all his small units (he might have had one left) leaving him with 6 activations to my 11-12. From then I was able to wait him out and jump on stuff. A large win. Game 5: Richard - Iyanden Bizarrely I was in second place, and had to play Richard (who was way out in front). Not a match up I relished, and I was expecting to get hammered. The dice had other ideas though. As per his report above, Richards dice deserted him throughout, while mine had a fairly hot streak. Different dice and it would have been a different result. A lucky 3-0 win. The Reaver did not make a single attack this game. Not one. Fun fact - my Reaver took a single point of damage all weekend, and never participated in a single engagement (that I can remember anyway... but I am getting old)! The list I used: Codex Marines: Assault Bikes Devastators + Lasback Speeders +1 Typhoon Speeders +1 Typhoon Speeders +1 Typhoon Speeders +1 Typhoon Speeders +1 Typhoon Scouts Scouts TBolts THawk Reaver |

Well done on the win Andy! Sad I couldn't make it this year, my Sweden trip has been postponed thanks to the guy we were meant to be meeting having an unexpected death in the family, so I could have made it after all next year! Where are the army pics? |

Belated thanks to everyone for a cracking event. REALLY enjoyed playing Epic again after not so much as picking up a single model since WOTT earlier in the year. Thanks to Duncan, MonkeyBoy, RichardL, Jon L, and MikeT for some fantastic games, to Tiny-Tim for running everything, and to Battlefield Hobbies for hosting us. Looking forward to playing more regularly again in 2019 Cheers Reedar |
