After the success of the new Battlefield hobbies venue and discussions over the GT weekend we can now give out some more details about our tournament plans for next year. We intend to run this as a 4k team tournament with team of 3. July 8th Glasgow - Glasgow University Union, Bridie Library Room August 11th-12th-14th Britcon, Manchester ON SALE NOW http://www.bhgs.org.uk/britcon---how-to-enter.html 6 4k games as in previous years September 2nd Into the Breach, Dark Sphere London £20 3 x3k games including lunch and prizes Tickets via Epic UK website SEASON TICKET EVENT October TBC Wrath of the Tyrant IV, Ukrainian Church LE3 0QY Leicester TBC November 25th-26th Epic UK GT, Battlefield Hobbies Daventry £30 5 x3k games including lunch and prizes Tickets via Epic UK website SEASON TICKET EVENT In addition to these events a new event in Glasgow is a possibility. Also we may well have another campaign weekend and a tournament in Exeter. Obviously prices for some of the tournaments have slightly increased, we think this is worth it in order to use nicer venues like Battlefield Hobbies but also to allow us to improve our terrain. To offset this somewhat we are, for 2017, going to offer an Epic UK Season Ticket. This will be priced at £55 and will provide entry to the GT and 2 of Counterattack, Full Scale Assault and Into the Breach (a saving of £15) See you all in 2107 |

The season ticket is a really good idea, big thumbs up. Though I see you are as ambitious as ever if you think that we will be around in 2107 ![]() |

UK Games expo question : with the tournaments being organised by a separate body this year how is ticketing going to work? (don't want to end up doubling up again like this year). Just been prompted by seeing the tickets going on sale 1st of Dec. Also worth getting accommodation sorted early for that one as it gets pricy later on... |

Btw Steve, talking of the UK Games Expo, have you booked up a load of rooms again? I had a quick look this evening and there's nothing available around the NEC at all for that weekend ![]() Beginning to wonder if it's kinda become a victim of it's own success. |

As per the Expo newsletter this evening, it's a victim of it's own success (3x growth in attendees in three years), plus a Take That comeback tour just announced on the same weekend. Looks like I'll be sleeping in a campervan tucked away in the car park again. In other words, if you want nearby accommodation you need to have already booked it, or be prepared to pay high prices and still see nothing available after another few days... |

Ah well, guess i'll be giving it a miss this year then. Shame, but there we go. Sadly i'll also not be able to make Feb's event either as it's the same weekend as Smogcon, which i booked up back in September! The championship should be wide open for someone else to win it in 2017 at least ![]() |

We stayed in brum proper last year. It was a doddle to get to and from the expo plus much, much cheaper. |

Any news on whether Winter Warmer is in Bath or Bristol this year? Just us borderers were planning to fly down for it in Bristol but Bath makes it a wee bit more complicated Sent from my 4034X using Tapatalk |

There is a direct bus (or at least there used to be). But as IJW says, prety sure WW is actualy Bristol anyway (but come for Counter Attack too!) :-) |
