Tickets are now on sale for the first UK Team tournament at the UK Games Expo in Birmingham on June 4-5 Tickets are available here http://www.ukgamesexpo.co.uk/bookevents ... tegory=min You do not need to buy a ticket for both the Saturday and Sunday. The Saturday ticket includes Sunday. It is not necessary to buy a convention ticket direct, contact me about them Teams will be of 3 players, ideally if one person could buy the 3 tickets for a team that would be great but otherwise could you let me know who is a member of what team when you have signed up. Any single players signing up will be randomly grouped with other singles. Rules will follow what we used for the Euro Team Championship last year. In addition this will be an Epic UK Championship+Plate event so individual scores will be tallied as with a normal tournament Each player will play 5 3k games, 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. All rounds will be all the members of 1 team vs all the members of another team, for the first round the matchups within teams will be drawn at random after that it will be done on a Swiss basis (for example the SW player with most points plays the SLWG with the most points, the SW with the 2nd most points plays the SLWG with the 2nd most points etc etc). Scoring will be done using the Epic UK scoring table. For each round the score for the 3 players of a team will be added together and if they score more than the score of the 3 players they were playing the team will receive 20 bonus points. The final score for each team will be the points scored by each player in the team plus any bonus points. If we have 6 teams then each team will play each other team once, if we have 8 the first round will be random and then matchups will be determined using the Swiss system. All terrain will be provided for the event in accordance with the Epic Armageddon rulebook. ARMIES Each team of3 can only use a race once per team, legal armies will be all the lists here http://epic-uk.co.uk/wp/army-lists/ . Lists must be submitted by May 7th. Scotland is 2/3 in. My brother is busy arranging a wedding but in all liklihood Dan and I will just chloroform him and stick him in a van to get him there. |

Trying to organise a south london team at the moment, but may have to search further afield if needed. I think the hotel costs for this year's Expo are a bit offputting at the moment though for those who didn't book well in advance as they've pretty much doubled in price since i booked some rooms back when the expo dates were released. |

It's only ten minutes on the train into central brum, we'll likely stay somewhere there as looks like still some reasonable options (plus access to curry). |

This concept is so cool that it pains me greatly to not be able to attend.  I'll (likely) be in the same room playing cards though. If that changes i'll let you know right away. On a different note, i am happy to share a hotel room in case i end up doing the full weekend. |

Have been thinking of coming but accommodation seems a hassle. No rooms left at hilton or premier inn, has anyone booked anywhere in brum? |

Not booked yet but looks like there's rooms in the premier Inn near New Street. That's only ten minutes by train from parkway. |
