Hello,
this is a post to announce that after much deliberation and discussion, Steve54 and myself have agreed that the scenario for the EpicUK campaign weekend this year will be the 3rd War for Armageddon (as described in the Epic rulebook and elsewhere) while subject to change, the current plan is to run a few smaller games (3-5k) on the Saturday with quite specific themes and objectives, the outcomes of which will influence the much larger scale games on the Sunday in "interesting" ways
I am working with Apoc and JimmyZimms to try and craft scenarios which match particular battles in the campaign, I will then let Steve54 tear these apart and make them practical and balanced
so obviously we will need players who can field sizable armies of the following:
Orks - Ghazgkull, Speed Freeks, Ferals and OGBM (we need LOTS of gargants and stompas
)
Imperial Guard - Steel Legion, Vanaheim (posing as Elysians/Catachans) Ulani (posing as minervans)
Space Marines - Codex Marines (particularly painted as Salamanders), Flesh Tearers (blood angels), Black Templars and White Scars
Adeptus Mechanicus - Skitarii, AMTL
Inquisition - Sisters of Battle

there may also be scope for some traitor guard led by Herman Von Strab depending on how many players we have taking part
Looking at the forces listed above, it definitely seems that we'll need a good turnout of ork players, after typing this out I'm going to go and spend a few hours painting gargants
Tickets for the weekend will be £15 including donuts, but excluding lunch, we can order pizza or someone can do a run to the nearby Subway or Chippy if so inclined we're now working on 8 places per side, the logistics get more complex with many more than that, if you're interested let me know you'd like to attend and which side you'd like to be on, priority will initially be given to people who can provide suitable forces
If anyone has any suitable terrain (Desert/Jungle/Industrial/Hive) it would be very much appreciated!

for force specifics, if people can bring any titans and gargants they have painted, that would be grand, also we may look to refight the battle of gate IX which was the largest dread-on-dread battle of the conflict, 17 marine dreads (plus some marines) versus over 100 ork dreads and kanz, so if anyone has any painted ork dreadnoughts or kanz, please bring them along, even if they're old and a tad rubbishly painted
Also I must stress that as this is a weekend of narrative and thematic gaming, we insist that all models be painted and based
