As mentioned elsewhere we're looking at setting up a qualifying tournament for the Swedish EEC team 2015. There is a poll on the Facebook group 'Epic 40k Scandinavia' to decide which town gets to host the qualifier so please head on over to cast your vote. If you're not on Facebook feel free to cast your vote here and I'll pass it on, please also tell me if you want to go to the EEC or just the qualifier. The alternatives proposed so far are: Göteborg, Lund, Norrköping and Stockholm. |

Sweden has the BEST place names.... I would love to live in a place called 'Lund' and please tell me that Goteborg translates as 'land of the goats' or if it doesn't, don't tell me so I can persist in my delusions |

It's castle or fort of the Geats, a word that migrated to English in the form of 'git'. Come on, Fort Git must surely beat land of the goats? The others in order of appearance: Grove, North Borough and Log Islet. |

'Geat' is the basis for 'Goth' too. In my head Goth Keep evokes Truly vivid imagery of chalked people wearing copious amounts of makeup and truly outrageous black costumes walking cold grey stone walls surrounded by snow, but perhaps that's just me (o: |

True to tradition (as we've now done this twice) the Swedish team has been selected based on who wants to and has the means and time to go. There will still be a tournament in January only it won't serve as the EEC qualifier. |

We have an opening on the team due to one of the former team members deploying. Swedes and people with a connection to Sweden have priority. Please contact me as soon as possible. |

And we're full again. Only, we're now a Viking alliance of Sweden and Denmark. ![]() |
