Just like the last three years I will be organizing a small (up to 18 players) tournament in November, called the Wintermanöver. Feel free to come!

Facts:

3000 Points, up to 18 players, 9 tables with various climatic themes (ice planet, desert, jungle, urban, woodland) , NetEA ruleset, all Development and Approved lists are legal. Entry fee is only FIVE Euro

Possible to organize free games on 30.11.2014 and a Meet-and-Greet on Friday evening if there is a desire for that :)

Hannover is appr. 150 km south of Hamburg.

Not really in the north but the northern end of the middle.. ;D

We are currently at 12 players and may even bump up to 14 (two guys undecided if they can go).
Prices from 2WolvesFactory plus trophies of course and only 5 euro fee including FREE coffee and tea. There will aslo be a bring and buy area, so if you want to buy/sell something, this is also possible. You should better join now! :D

Where would it be best to fly into? Cheap places to stay?

I llike epic. LOVE the local beer. And my NATO ID makes customs a breeze.

There is a airport directly in Hanover, from there you could take the train to central station (Hannover Hauptbahnhof).
Get a ticket called "Ticket Zone 2", its around 5 Euro. At the central station you can catch a tram (the ticket for the train also counts for the tram) and take the red line (line 1,2 and another I cant remember just know) to Werderstrasse (its only ONE station). from there its around 5-10 minute walk. I can also make you a map if you want to. The whole local transport stuff is around 25 minutes including waiting times.

There are several hotels near the venue.
eg Sparkuhl Hotel Garni - Hischestr. 4, Vahrenwald, 30165 Hannover, around 50€ for a night

The venue is at the Spichernstrasse, Hischestrasse is about 10-15 minutes away.There is also the A&C Hotel Hannover - Hamburger Allee 55, Mitte, 30161 Hannover, which is around the same price.

There is also a very big hotel near the central station, next to a very big supermarket (Kaufland), the Ibis Hotel. http://www.accorhotels.com/de/hotel-351 ... edia.shtml
Its also around 44€ a night roughly.

Please mind that we will be playing Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The official tournament is ONLY on Saturday :)

This blows. I have a 4 day weekend, but airfare is 1500.00

I dont know where you are located, but if you fly from London Stansted to Bremen on Thursday and return on Sunday its 72GBP for BOTH flights. From there, you can take the bus to Hannover which is about one hour and a half and costs around 7-8 Euro for one trip. EDIT: Using RyanAir

Hannover is pretty expensive on short notice flights and there are no cheap airlines to England. Thats why I went to Bremen for my trip to Exeter as well.
