Hi.

I am looking to start doing some regular wargaming.
What clubs are there in Bristol, and also, what people would let me invade their house to play some games?

Alrighty; spare 5 minutes so I can provide some answers.

There's quite a few of us from these boards in Bristol: EdgarSan, myself, Stu's Idle come to mind immediately.
In Wiltshire you've got Reedar and Nat: plus others!

We used to meet up once a month on the first tuesday under the auspice of 'Bristol Epic Club' to play...well, epic! However with two of Bristol's independent wargames venues closing due to mismanagement the community has now moved to playing in a club environment above the Old Duke jazz and blues bar (which is managed by one of our members) 5 evening a week; loads of decent scenery, parking on meters on street and a great environment; flames, epic, bolt action, xwing; lot's of specialist games but also plenty of 40k and WFB on show. £2 per player and simply contact Stu's Idle to book a table :-)

I'm usually up for a game of epic every other week for those wanting to roll some dice in 6mm scale!

Any other questions?

My life is becoming more stable now (little one is 8 weeks and now on a vague routine), so I'll be up for some games soon. Not really available to travel but do have a house + board, just sorting some more scenery.

At present my main motivation to get a car is to get to epic events …
Then I think about how much it would cost :(
Then I look at national rail website and sulk.

… i'd need to learn to drive fist as well
