Here is the ork selection section from the rules pack.... which can be found here - http://epic-uk.co.uk/batrep/ABridgetoofar.pdf Honestly I think Landa's aren't in the spirit of the scenario, and will explicitly say so in a future version of the doc. I should add that the Guard loading up on vultures and valkyries would be frowned upon too, it should be tanks and mech inf with support really.

Quote:
Garrisons. The axis has 5,000 points to split betw
een the 3 tables. Each force must be a minimum of
1000 points and a maximum of 2000 points. No Gargan
ts, war engines or flyers can be selected by
the garrison forces, and each force may only have o
ne formation with a move greater than 20cm.
Reserves. The remaining 5,000 points of the Ork for
ce is held in reserve. A maximum of one supa-
stompa and one Gargant or One Great Gargant may be
selected. A maximum of 500 points may be
spent on fighta bombers. Note – there is no guarant
ee that all these forces will enter play for the
axis

Well all you need to play is 5 mates, 3 6'x4' tables and an entire day to spend moving tanks and troops :D

I was going to ask if we (the Ork side) should co-ordinate our armies...? What we're bringing for which table and what would be in reserve.

This is mainly why I'm asking. My currently pained orks are mainly either flyers or 30+cm move units. I might base up and basecoat some more stompas and big gunz before the weekend.

I'll leave the Landas at home; I have some battlewaggons I can put the boyz in to join the reserves. I'd suggest we bring a (great?) gargent and stompa mob/super stompa 'cause, well, why the heck wouldn't you?

Blitz brigades and kults of speed for the rest of the reserve I guess.

Yes you Orky types do need to co-ordinate as you are one happy band ;) . It is only the initial 5K garrison forces that have the movement limit, you can gorge on KoS's for your reserves if you so wish :D

The Imperials are a bit more self contained... though as Arty can use it's long range for real in the game the Marines may want to 'suggest' to the Guard player to bring some big guns to the party :D

There is a map of the school so you can find our tables on Sat morning here - http://www.bhgs.org.uk/uploads/9/3/2/3/ ... l_2014.pdf - Room 16/17 for those that don't do maps!

And the address for your sat nav is - Holywell Middle School, Red Lion Close, Cranfield, Milton Keynes MK43 OJA.

And finally the food options on site are -

Quote:
Hot and cold food will also be available at Roll Call this year. The options will include (but may not be limited to):

Sausage and chips £2.00, Jacket potatoes with a choice of fillings. £2.00, Sandwiches with various fillings for £1.25. There will also be a variety of chocolate bars, crisps and a selection of fresh Danish pastries all at 50p each.

And as normal there will be tea and coffee available through the weekend.

Quick clarification, are we one giant 10k army? I see we only get one warlord. However, can I bring speed freak formations, or must all formations come from the main ork list?

I'd say each block has to come from one list. So a min of 1,000 points from any list. Remember the deployed 5k has to be split between tables, the reserve 5K is one blob.

I'm doing a BA 2K and a Codex 2K for my marines, and in the past the Guard split 3K each to Ulani and Steel legion.

At the end of the day as long as the points roughly work it really doesn't matter, the scenario isn't designed to be a balanced match up at all.

Nope!

The Reedar offspring are doing all they can to throw a spanner in the works presently! Thankfully most of my stuff is still bagged up from Expo.....

On the way home from a great days gaming.
Quick word of thanks to BHGS for hosting, Meph for the smooth running, and TinyTim, Meph and MikeT for three enjoyable (dice notwithstanding) and painful games.

Will be returning to this event again in the future for sure.

Cheers
Reedar
