‘I was there,’ he would say afterwards, until afterwards became a time quite devoid of laughter. ‘I was there, the day Horus slew the Emperor.’ It was a delicious conceit, and his comrades would chuckle at the sheer treason of it ![]() Not THAT Emperor. The other one later. He died, but the job was done. We replayed the siege of the imperial palace on terra. Chaos forces marching against the gates of the palace. But Horus made a gamble and lost. http://s299.photobucket.com/user/brx-ph ... t=3&page=1 The modular city boards and the awesome fortress were made by bulba. Check his topic in the terrain section. Check the primarchs too. Emperor, Vulcan, Sangiunius (my favourite) and Horus, Perturabo. |

looks spectacular!! what size was the table and how many points did you use per side? how many players? we're doing the same thing at the end of the year and it would be really good to get an idea of scale and any pointers! ![]() |

Hi, There were 3 players per side - IG, Blood Angels, Salamanders and extra imperial fist for visitors who wanted to join in - Iron warriors, Black legion and Death Guard We did not fix exact points. Everyone brought 3 formations + one titan (chaos brought only 2 at the end, I did not finish painting mine). No aircraft. Just for decoration. We pushed back the good guys pretty much, but when the end drew near, we quickly staged the fight between Horus and the Emperor The table was a standard 120*180 cm Last year we had a double table for around 40K points total. 2012 is here: http://s299.photobucket.com/user/brx-ph ... t=3&page=1 |

Was very fun. And despite playing very slowly (it was a Games Day afterall, so everyone were constantly moving somewhere to barter, or to blather ![]() I think the trick worked well to limit the number of formations but not the size, and so everyone maximized the upgrades in each. |

That's brilliant, looks spectacular. Great way to handle such a large battle. Where are the banners on the palace fortress from? |
