With Maelstrom closing and the 1st Co Vets fragmenting somewhat it looks like this will be the end for Open War for at least 2013. To take its place we will be running a replacement yet to be named tournament on October 12th.

Unit 45, Block 7, Old Mill Industrial Estate, Mansfield Woodhouse NG19 9BG

Tickets will be £15 including lunch and will be on sale in August, we have a maximum of 20 places.

For those who may have been affected by the Maelstrom debacle this venue has no links whatsoever to Rob Lane.

Question is will the amtl be released before open war? Because if it is then I might paint something up for that (even if I can't use my imperator)

It won't be released early enough for this event.
From the Epic-UK core game rules
Quote:
3. There is a four-week grace period before an EPIC UK event. If GW formally
releases a new Army list or rules modification within four weeks of an EPIC

more than four weeks before the event, then this list or rules modification
will be used. This includes all material published via GW whether via

It will be released in time for the Epic-UK GT.
