On the Epic UK site now are 2 new EUK tournament legal lists - the updated Chaos Codex and the NEW Dark Eldar Codex http://epic-uk.co.uk/wp/army-lists/

The Chaos Codex updates the old Codex with some mainly points+structure changes and an overhaul of the summoning rules.

The Dark Eldar is entirely new for EUK but owes a lot to the Raiders DE list

Thanks to all the EUK committee, testers + all those who have been involved with these races on TC for their hard work with these projects.

These will from, and including, the Sheffield tournament on April 21st

I just finished a first pass over the Dark Eldar list. I like it as a "modernized" and streamlined version of the Raiders list.

One question, is the option for Barges meant to be '100 each', rather than 100 for 1 or 100 for 2 as it's currently written?

Also, how does the Transport option interact with Barges? Are spaces on Barges counted against the spaces required by the Transport option? If I take a Barge in a Coterie, does that inherently preclude me from taking Raiders/Venoms unless I add more infantry units?

Should be 100 each, thanks for the spot.

Add any upgrades to the formation (infantry, vehicles etc), including the Barges and then check if you have any units not able to be transported at that point you can add Raiders and/or Venoms to transport them if you want.

So specifically a Coterie formation with no upgrades is 4 Incubi units (+Archon character), if you add the Barge (or Barges) all units are transported so you get no Raiders/Venoms.

How does buying Venoms work? There is an individual price but the wording and list suggests they are only available in pairs? I am hoping it is done the same way as Razorbacks so you buy your Barges and Venoms befor calculating the number of free Raiders you require.

They are available in pairs, for the cost of 25pts you get a pair of Venoms as a replacement for a Raider (or 4 Venoms as a replacement for 2 Raiders for 50pts etc). Assuming that after upgrades you are still eligible for any free Raiders.

1) What constitutes an "action" for the portable web way portal? For an engage for instance is it after the initial move or after the consolidate/ fallback? or can I choose?

2) With a double can I move, open a portal, shoot, then move? Or does the portal opening have to come at the very end of the whole order?

3) Is a fall back an action for the purposes of opening the portal?

4) Can I open a web way portal whilst in a flying transport (not landed)?

An action is the whole order effectively so in an engage it is after the consolidate, in a double it is after both moves and any shooting has been completed. A fall back or withdrawal move is not an action so no portal.

The disengage move is still part of a flyers action so you would not be able to open a portal in that case until back at base.
