The NEAT tournament is rapidly approaching and I cannot decide what to bring... Much like most elected officials, I can't make up my own mind and need to take a poll to determine what is the best course of action. With that in mind, I present my potential tournament players...

Once tallied, I will perhaps even listen to the sway of public opinion. Of course, there is a greater chance I will thumb my nose at all of you and play Orks.

Playtest your Squats, slacker. Failing that, Elysians, then Eldar.

Since you didn't list Necrons I have to agree with Dave :P

My old Necrons were sold so I could remake a brand new Necron army out of once-available-awesome-looking-proxies-but-since-have-gone-the-way-of-the-dodo-bird models. Those OAALPBSHGTWOTDB's are still sitting in a box collecting dust next to my gym equipment (which has collected an even bigger layer of dust). I suppose I could glue them all on bases and tell them it is a silver motif I'm striving for, but it seems so cliche' nowadays.

Point of order. How do dead guardsmen kick and scream?

They are certainly dead once they hit the ground (or whatever they landed on). :D

Last time I brought them to the tourney I was convinced all of my dice were covered only in 1's and 2's.

It is, but it's a classic for a reason!

Ah, a fellow sufferer - so use any army that still works with 1's and 2's :D

Alternatively, take the Ordo Xenos which will put you in a win-win situation; you could not possibly have won because they underperform and you were not at your best having been up to dark-O'clock painting them on the night before. Alternatively aren't you the smug one as you managed to win despite the reasons just mentioned ;)

I realize that my army may be on the receiving end of what you decide to bring next month, but you are the "Squat Army Champion". As "Squat Army Champion" it's understandable that choosing what army to bring might be difficult - but if I were "Squat Army Champion" I might give some thought to bringing, umm...wait don't tell me...err, oh I know - Squats. You know, being "Squat Army Champion" and all... ;D

I guess by extension I'm obligated to play Ordo Xenos. Unfortunately, as members of Adeptus Ineptus are already aware, my Inquisition army is also unpainted. However, if I don't play it for the tourney, I will have for games Friday night and Sunday afternoon. I actually wouldn't mind playing against Ordo Xenos for a change.

Mosc, are you coming up Friday night?

Mate,

Run out some space wolves, I had a ball with them at CANCON this year. Lots of fun assaulting people, had a fantastic 4-0 over Knights

Cheers
Aaron

Friday night? I reckon it's a possibility. Seems we may be able to get something moving on that if we get up there early enough. The problem we may run into is Ron is working so our departure time may be later than desired.

OK then... Squats it shall be. I suppose the only proper thing is to come up with a 1.31b list that has MW2+ TK(D6+12) on all infantry stands.

Na, I'd be happy to test 3x MW2+ (TK) though on the infantry stands ;)

Or how about a general points reduction for all units of say 50-90%. Then you could show off the ability of all the types of units in one go.

Consider it done and done! I wonder if I will win any games?
