Epic UK are pleased to announce something a bit different from the standard tournament format - our first Campaign Weekend. This will be held at Maunsfeld Games Mansfield on March 16-17 and will cost £18 (which includes lunch both days). We are initially looking at 2 factions of 6 players each - Imperial (any SM or IG list except Siegemasters) and Chaos (any CSM list, LatD or even traitor guard). List wise will be entirely up to you - just bring what you have (but have some list below at 3k and 4k in mind to make it easier as the points will vary game by game- so you could end up playing with 3400 or 5000 etc) The Invasion of Ybred IV One of the main world supplying prometheum to the Ultima Segmentum Ybred IV has been targetted by a Chaos incursion the like of which the sector has not seen for thousands of years. The planetary governer Matthias Otterski has fled into exile and the Imperial armies have been routed. Ybred had fallen to the ruinous powers, the populous enslaved and the prometheum supply diverted to the armies of Chaos. After 3 years of Chaos dominance a massive Imperial counterattack has been launched with several Marine Chapters, a multitude of Imperial Guard regiments and even the Adeptus Mechanicus answering the call to arms. Taken by surprise the Imperial forces crushed the Chaos defenders in the outlying Cities and wilderness areas leaving only the Industrial heart of Ybred under Chaos control. The gateway to the massive prometheum fields of the east is the great city of Ottergrad and this bastion is now the target of the Imperial Crusade. Day 1 The Imperium attacks Both sides will be divided into groups of 3 with 12k points between them - how they distribute the points over the 3 tables is up to them. Each table will feature objectives (tank factory, airfield, refinery etc) possession of which will have affects on both sides in the afternoon. The afternoon will see the Imperial forces press on into Ottergrad as the Chaos forces desperately try and stop them crossing the river at the centre of the city. Again in the groups of 3 - but this time with cooperation and movement between each table the Imperial forces (with the bonuses, or otherwise earned in the morning) will try and force their way across the river against the reeling outnumered Chaos forces. Depending on whether the crossing is made will determine what the focus is on the 2nd day - the Imperial forces pushing on to the Governors palace and the prometheum fields or being bogged down and encircled in Ottergrad. There will also be a few surprises on the tables (some nice, some not) Hopefully their should be some nice scenery as we've had some offers of the loan of some great pieces IMPERIALS 1 Kev Bott 2 Simon Holyoake 3 Mike Thomas 4 Marcus Hawkesford 5 Mark Preston 6 Ryan Downes CHAOS 1 Matthew Lickiss 2 Ben Brissenden 3 Angus Slater 4 Sam Dale 5 Ben Skinner 6 Dave Thomas |

This is of theoretical interest to me. Quote: List wise will be entirely up to you - just bring what you have... I have an awesome Vraksian Legion that rarely gets an outing. Permitted list? |

I'm in with a slab of chaos ![]() That said, my chaos doesn't form up with EUK lists very easily, so would be good if there was another chaos marine/cult marine player to shuffle bits about with. |

Tickets now on sale http://epic-uk.co.uk/wp/event-calendar/ ... n-weekend/ Apoc - the terrain Simon mentioned would be great, as to armies quite a few players have multiple chaos armies or loyal+chaos so that won't be an issue. |

I've booked holiday for this and will pick up a ticket on payday at end of the month :-) Very keen to see how you guys handle a campaign; i felt mine required a bit more playtesting and the simpler structure that is suggested above sounds a far better idea! R> |

Sign me and a friend up for the side of chaos, just popping over to buy tickets now. Tickets bought now - Ben and Gus, probably playing 1000sons and traitor guard/latd respectively. |
