Here you go, save you the trip to the thread.
Righto so i played this list in a competition we had here in NZ yesterday, it was a 3 round match up and this is the list i used.
Warlock with vibro cannon and power fist Phantom with D cannon and power fist Revenant with sonic lances Revenant with sonic lances Revenant with sonic lances 3 X bright stallion Knights.
maybe not the best list at 3k but i want to go more themed with titan focus. And everyone seems to be ranting about sonic lance spam so i wanted to test them more and see how they went, all in the good name of play testing i say
ok, so first round i played Imperial guard Steel legion, fairly mixed list.
Lost 2 Bright stallions the entire game, from 2 critical hits from manticores in the first round. thats all the casualties i took all game, i found that the hit and run rule really works nicely with this army list, it can really take advantage of terrian with them all having walker and such high speed, i thought id be popping guardsmen off left right and centre with so much ignore cover weapons and BP, but to be perfectly honest i only managed to break one guard formation the entire game from all that BP disrupt ignore cover shenanigans. As a general over view i felt it was a fairly even match, the guard player could have played better and was plagued by horrible rolls ( normally i dont blame dice but he was very very unlucky ) so in conclusion, the lances seemed to be balanced int his game, yes they kill guard trooops but were pretty average vz most other things.
Round 2 : Eldar Iyadan
Now to be fair i thought i was going to clean up againt this list, with all my lancing and disrupt it seemd like a perfect killzone for me. But the reality is i had 6 activations and he had 10, and i jsut couldnt get past the scout screens early enough to do damage to the transports, which in turn proved to be my down fall, by the end of round 2 i has lost a phantom, a revenant and 2 knights, and it was looking grim, he played smart nd postioned well spacing out all his units nicely to reduce most of my 4 BP shooting to only cover 2-4 models alot of the time which really hurt the kill power of my minimal formations. Over all i got butchered basically, small activation count and good spacing by him really just made my weapon systems in effective enough to be able you wade into FF with support and butcher my titans one by one.
Round 3 : Imperial Air Cav
I won this game but it really wasnt a game, i huddled all my titans in a tight formation and just waited on my blitz, with the intetion of having all my AA coverage together and then Running out in turn 3 and securing objectives, sadly my opponent played very poorly, sacrificed air units to my AA and over watch, then postioned badly on the objectives and handed me a win with no real effort and he concedied mid turn 2. So no conclusive data to be taken from this game.
As a over view of the day i cant say i think the Sonic lances are over powered from those 3 games, there were many times where i found myself wishing i had the Pulsars instead, i foudnt he Warlock with the vibro cannon to be Ok, but nothing special, and phantom with the D-cannon was again Ok but nothing voerly great, with the small activation count it really made you want to maximize each activation to mean something, and with having to spend most of the game doubling shooting did prove to be less efficent. So far im happy playing the list, i find the 1:1 ratio of titan to non titan formations restricts your ability to get a high activation count with out jsut spamming revenants, and then you have no SC, so f you do want that SC ont he board your looking at most of the time a 6- 8 activation count. But all in all i enjoyed playing the list, and people certainly we apprehensive to engage the titans initially.
The knight were interesting but really never did much in most of the games, due to being rather unlucky and getting 4 crits on the first 4 hits they took over the day lol. i need to try them more i think to comment fairly, one thing i would say is i would like to see the knight not count as part of the 1:1 ratio count, the main reason i wanted to play this list was to play with knights but i find ot make asemi viable list your looking a 2 knight formations mos tof the time tops, 3 on a streatch, i would like to see them test or moved to a Formation choice that counts as Titan per say, like ammend the rule change to something like a 1:1 WE restriction rather than titan restriction. this has been just my thoughts and ideas, and i did enjoy the list, but if asked my feelings as it stands would say it still needs more tweaking. but in saying that i will still play it mroe and test it more as its something i did enjoy.
Best Regards
