Tickets are now on sale for Open War XVII. This a 3 x 3k 1 day tournament at Maelstrom in Mansfield, tickets are now on sale at the 1st Co veterans site http://www.1stcompanyveterans.net/event ... war_17.php for £18 (includes lunch).

Tickets are on sale until April 7th but its a good idea to get you ticket as soon as you can as places can get stolen by other systems.

I'm massively confused by the scoring table in the rules pack for this one, there's both VP difference and objectives listed, presumably the VP difference comes into play if it's a draw.. but it specifies VP difference for turn 3, and turn 3 draws don't happen as far as I can recall (having never been in the situation where I can drag a game out for another turn!)

Do you get both points for the VP difference and points for objectives? i.e. if I've given my opponent a sound thrashing and his army is in tatters, I get some nice points for making a mockery of his force even though he's beaten me 3-0?

Basically if you get to the end of turn 3 and there is no time to play a turn 4 if nobody has the necessary goals then you call it a draw and check VPs

Can anybody intending to come to this get their tickets as soon as possible as the vets are panicking about low sales (across all systems). I've told them there won't be a problem for epic numbers but it would be much appreciated if you can buy tickets sooner rather than later

Wow, outselling Warmachine and joint with Fantasy. Is Epic in the ascendant? Or just people drifting away from other systems?

I think the move from WHW has hit them a little. The 40Kers from my local club think its a bit too far for a day trip.
