DAVE WINS INTO THE BREACH

Epic UKs first event at the NWGC saw 13 players compete for the spoils, after 2 days and 5 hotly contested games Dave Thomas (Marines) emerged victorious beating Steve Gullick (Tau) in the final game to give him 5 wins from 5 games. Tim Hunt (steel legion) took second with Steve rounding out the top three. Christian Cummings (Thousand Sons) narrowly missed out on the trophies btu had to be content with Flame On bragging rights in fourth place. One stat of note is that of 8 different armies filled the top 8 places !

Bob Wolstencroft won a three way roll off to take most sporting while Chris Webb (White Scars) and James Ramsey (Death Guard) took deserved best army prizes. Thanks to everyobdy who attended and Darran at the NWGC for making this another very enjoyable event.

Seconded. I had a great weekend. Some disapointing results initially blamed on the dice (Activating units was a lot more tenuous than it should have been, lol) but with hindsight I did make a number of errors that cost me. All 5 games were extremely enjoyable though and my opponents were all great blokes. I was flattered to have been nominated for best sportsman too. Cheers guys.

Looking forward to the next event my schedule allows me to attend!

Thanks to everyone for a great weekend and especially to Steve for running it.

I can't believe I didn't win most sporting, especially as I voted for myself 3 times :o . I was always laughing when rolling my dice and chuckling when my opponents rolled theirs, what more can I do ;D .

Get rid of those special '6' dice for starters :-*

I thought we were going to do that by making Dave play with d4s instead of d6s in the next tournament?

Excellent tournament, I had a lot of fun with the death guard despite almost losing my army on the way home !

Very surprised to win an award and obviously pleased-motivated me to try and improve some aspects of it.

See you all next time.

Yup, was indeed fun, and I once again got to complain about fearless troops :)

Sounds like Stockport/Manchester tournaments should be fairly easy for you to get to as well.
