Eh, it gives a good idea of what styles of Marine list are popular, even if it's likely to be of little relevance to someone outside of the UK.

Then that means we shouldn't let them see netEA lists either as that would could be confusing too.

There isn't any difference between "Epic-UK fan produced army lists" and "netEA fan produced army lists" except Epic-UK have asked permission from GW to produce lists for UK tournaments and sent most of their lists into GW for vetting by them before release.

To be fair Dave, I don't think communications with GW is the issue (I do think your point about GW vetting lists is somewhat of a strawman)... the issue he raised is that outside of the UK, the EUK lists are generally not used whilst NetEA or FERC ones are, which is pretty accurate really.

Though I still think it's a good resource to point newbies at, wherever they're from, because I don't think it's confusing to quickly explain "These lists are from the UK tournament scene, which have their own army lists which are slightly different to those generally in use elsewhere, but they still give a very good idea about what types of Space Marine army lists are popular".

That may be the case but if a new player has found their way onto a fan run site full of fan made lists, one of a few that this resource will be added to no doubt, they will be capable of not being confused by a different set of fan made lists and would it hurt to let them see there are other sets of lists out there for them to try.
