Epic-UK calendar updated to match the above. No event at a GW location so those 'scratch builders' can really go to town ;)

Could you confirm when Botch is.
Here it is listed as July, while on Epic-UK it is listed as June.

Whoops! My fault the calendar on Epic-UK now reflects reality, with BoTCH in July, so June is the empty month!

There are also rumors that the WPS may be running the Club Challenge again in 2011. If they do they are targeting the bank holiday weekend in May and it would be a 2 day, 5 game event for epic.

Which Bank holiday are they considering 02/05 or 30/05?

This repeats the situation that occured this year, and tends to rule out having another event in either May or June. I always try to get 4-6 clear weeks between events to allow people a breather, and if they pick 28/05, this would be 6/7 weeks from the events in April and July.

That being the case, because of the proximity to other events, I suggest we would need to confirm interest in the London event before booking venues etc.

I'd suggest not picking a bank holday for any London events this year.

I think there is probably enough people who prefer a one day event to a two day event to run one of each in any particular month. With Open War 15 9th April a one day event in late May wouldn't be a problem.

Also the WPS CC is in no way guaranteed to happen at all, let alone in May. Then they may decided to not include Epic if the do run it.

Which is a long winded way of saying plan your event when you like and the WPS will have to work around it!

I'd recommend two 1 day events in the months that remain.: May and June. Ignore the WPS CC for now. Not on Bank Holidays.

I'd say the one in May should be Winter Warmer style. And if WPS do run the CC then theroretlically we'd be attracting a different crowd of epic players

Similarly/alternately we could try running a Winter Wamer style event in August to cater those who can't (or won't) do Britcon.

I feel confident that we'd get excellent numbers for the main June event (we might even run out of space this year) and at least 8 players for the may/august event(s).

A late January event might be affected by /and itslef affect Full scale assault which is pencilled in for the 5th of February. Mephiston has said he might try and run an event in MK in early/mid january.

At the moment FSA is pencilled in for the 5th at the Gas Club in Mansfield, if anybody has an alternative venue available can they let me know - needs to be available Sat+Sun,space for 20+ players, cheap (we try and keep FSA under £10) and have boards

Just seeing if there is any suitable alternative as there are now 4 (both Open Wars, BOTC+ EUK GT) events in Mansfield
