Announcing Heavy Bolter 2010 EDIT - DATE CHANGE!!! When: Sunday November 21st 28th 9.00am-6.30pm If players could please be there before 9am for set up and admin that would be excellent and help get us underway sooner. Please bring a minimum of 6 pieces of "Epic" scale terrain. Where: Northcote Battle Bunker 388 High Street, Northcote Melways map reference: 30 F8 Cost: $10 per player. This covers trophy costs and the Bunker fee. Registration needs to be in by October 30th so trophies can be sorted out in time for the tournament. Please PM me for my direct deposit details. Armies: 3000 point armies taken from the NetEA Army Compendiums here: NetEA Compendiums Only "Developmental" or "Approved" lists will be used, however. Chaos Black Legion and Lost and the Damned are here: Chaos Lists The Tau list version 6.3.1 may be used also: Tau v6.3.1 Any further updates to any of these lists will only be used if that list has been released 1 month before the Tournament. Please watch this thread for any updates closer to the date to sort out any discrepancies. Please note: These lists are not all 100% official and errors do appear within them. All attempts to iron out any known errata will be taken. If they're an issue for players during the Tournament, please err on the side of caution and sportsmanship and don't play those rules that seem a little incorrect. i.e no jump packs on Phantom Titans even if it says so.... ![]() Rules: All core rules will be those listed on GW's Epic Resources area at: Epic Rules Page Please PM me with your lists by October 30th They just need to be basic list structure with formation type and points shown. Tournament set up: Play will be based on the Grand Tournament Set up in the Epic:Armageddon rulebook (pg 124) There will be 3x 2.5 hour games played over the day 1st round beginning approx 9.30am Lunch at approx. 12.00pm 2nd round at approx. 1.00pm 3rd at approx. 4.00pm If an issue of "out of time" arises at the end of a round, players must attempt to complete an even number of turns between them. If an uneven number of player turns arises, then the count back will be from the previous end phase results so please keep your turn by turn results. To this end, in the end phase of each turn both players must make note of the objectives captured and victory points for completely destroyed formations only. Playing slowly is quite obvious to your opponent, so please attempt brisk play as much as possible. Tournament placings(trophies will depend on player numbers): 1st Place (Hero of the Imperium) 2nd Place 3rd Place Best Painted Last place (The Golden Grot Award) Tournament Scoring: A Swiss system will be used to determine placings for each round based on your battle points only. 8 points Win 6 points Tie Breaker Win 5 points Dead Heat (after count back on Objectives captured and Victory Points) 4 points Tie breaker Loss 2 points Loss Any countback required will be decided by Objectives captured, followed by Victory points. Sports will be calculated each game but will not impact the placings for each round, only the final standings i.e added to your final score to determine the overall winner. So will equate to a maximum 6 points overall. So scoring gives a maximum of 30 points. Painting and Painting Scores: Painting scores will not effect your overall tournament points but will determine Best Painted. All miniatures must be painted to a basic standard. However, unpainted miniatures will not be allowed on the table. Only armies painted by the owner will be eligible. Painting will be judged by the players during the lunch break. For any further updates please watch this space. |

Chroma wrote: frogbear wrote: Thanks for letting me kick your butt, Froggy! *laugh* Yes. That game made me very aware of the mm measurement and not to take advantage of just placing minis anywhere. That Ork tactic has also been saved into the brain bank. ![]() That is the great thing about playing people outside of your group - you see and learn different playstyles. We can't all know everything. |

Please PM me for my direct deposit details so I can organise trophies in time for the tournament. All I need is a $5 deposit and you can pay the other $5 directly on the day (this is payment to Battle Bunker). Thanks all. |

How did the Revenants get on, for the Biel-Tan players? And indeed the scorpions, I remember a thread questioning them before? And a distinct lack of nightwings, I must say. I'm afraid I have no experience with Saim Hann. Still waiting on the Pics. |
