Well duh... how else am I going to beat you guys? I certainly can't hope to match the tactical brilliance Bill exhibits while he's under the influence of cough syrup.

Looks like I picked the wrong month to quit popping amphetamines.
Dave, aren't you supposed to send out your own army list before we send ours in? You toss me the idol, I throw you the whip!

No time for love Doctor Jones!

My list is locked in, I just sent it to Matt T. who won't be in attendance. Send away.

Fine - be that way. I'll probably be bringing Biel-tan. They're painted and ready to go. My Dark Eldar are ripped apart so they won't be attending, sad to say. :(

Dave, why did you send me three different lists, labelled "NEATIII.Veldar", "NEATIII.Vig", and "NEATIII.Vchaos"? I don't understand, as they're all marine lists... can you clarify?
;)

Way too funny! ;)

Of course my Eldar will have the 3 x shots on the Scorpion EOVs for 'playtesting purposes'. And I'll be bringing 6 of them. Yup, Chroma, I'd say it had a positive outcome on the army playability...

That was the other option I thought you'd aim for...

Bring on the Scorps Mosc. Those things are made of paper mache...

ah, it begins...

now, where's me pipe'n'slippers?

my list is almost finished, though I'm ruing the day I stayed with Ulthwe (it was originally because I got a free unit of guardians, back in the day). I can either have lots of Guardians or.... lots of Guardians. Perhaps they'll be Biel-tan in night camo instead.

Maybe I'll make mine Ulthwe' in green camo, that way we can thoroughly confuse absolutely everybody.

neat idea, let's do it!

I was actually toying with bringing an Iyanden army, but all those MW toting 4+RA fearless units seem a bit underpowered (wait for it... here's CaptPiett with his grumbling).

...freakin' special rules armies... grumble grumble. Is that the eldar army that summons re-spawning skimmer daemons too? I thought so.
Chris O. and I are going to work on that teleporting landtrain list and just you watch out. Each carriage in the train has a MW3+TK attack. Only 60cm range though, so that's pretty underpowered. Go squats!

but that would just encourage a static gunline army! Jeez Matt, you don't have much of a grasp of Epic army list development do you?

I said the MW attack only has a range of 60cm. I think that definitely prevents any sort of gunline army. Now whose lacking a grasp of army design? :D "I am so smart! I am so smart! S M R T! I mean S M A R T!"

My other great idea was that since guardsmen are sooo common, they should have a spawning rule like tyranids. >:D
You better not stifle development by telling me that's not a good idea...

ur most defnitly smrter than me Matt.

I wouldn't dream of stifling any sort of development, though I think the current spawning rules would be best - each fm rolls 6D3 every action and you get to place the new guardsmen wherever you want, with a +6D3 roll if you're within LoS of a Capitol Imperialis or something. It might sound overpowered, but it's balanced out by the fact that no one has more than 100 guardsmen stands, so after a while you won't be able to spawn any more, right?

And if anyone argues, say that you read in Imperial Armour 231 by Dan Abnett about lost Guardsmen being found living off roots and leaves on the battlefield.

I have completely forgotten what this thread was for.
