Hello!

On the 26th March sixteen EPIC veterans took up the challenge, to claim victor, of the 1st place for Full Scale Assault; only one could have the honour and that was STEVE GULLICK. Well done to him; below are some photos from the event:

Isn’t Impressed

Image

Gavin McKenzie shows David Bartley how long his Void Spinner is … but Dave isn’t impressed!

Not looking

Image

It appears that Alan Saunders latest plan for world domination is so terrifying, so disturbing that Steve Gullick can’t bear to look.

Pointing

Image

Matt Arnold thinks, that what he’s pointing at, is amusing.

Menacing Kev

Image

As Kevin’s plan for victory goes sour rather quickly, he is left with no other option than to look menacing at his own troops!

Run for cover

Image

As Joe Jephson starts his move, Mickey Mouse runs for cover.

Excited

Image

Mark Preston looks excited to be at Full Scale Assault … however Gavin Mckenzie looks abit confused.

Impressive

Image

Chris Webb has mastered the old ‘put your hands together and then put a pen in your mouth’ trick.

Watch out for the chocolate Muffin

Image

Steve Gullick makes a ‘school boy’ error by putting his Chaos bikes in Fire-Fight range of a chocolate muffin.

Books out!

Image

It’s game one and already Nick Rice has to check Chris Hayes “interpretation” of the rules.

A lovely Sight

Image

Full Scale Assault is in full swing … isn’t it lovely

Out Stare

Image

With all hope lost, David Bartley tries to out stare a Phantom.

Out Stare failed

Image

With the out staring tactic also failing, David Bartley comes last … maybe he needed ‘The Hat’.

Smirk

Image

Alex Cairns picks up the ‘Players Choice – best painted’ trophy (for his Chaos), however he seems to be concerned about something else … he’s smirking … maybe he has seen the power of ‘The Hat’.

Snatch

Image

Chris Webb picks up ‘Judges choice – best painted’ but, instead of grabbing the trophy, he seems to be aiming for ‘The Hat’.

Most Sporting

Image

After a roll-off between David Bartley and Alan Saunders, Alan won the Most Sporting trophy … he must have had the power of ‘The Hat’ on his side.

3rd

Image

Mark Preston picked up 3rd … but he wished he had ‘The Hat’.

2nd

Image

David Thomas won 2nd … he is in the photo, he’s just been wearing a camouflage body suit all weekend … he should have worn ‘The Hat’.

1st

Image

Steve Gullick said he couldn’t have his photo taken because he was a ‘sleeper’ KGB agent … I actually reckon it’s because he felt inferior to ‘The Hat’.

As you can see, the event was a huge success and everyone had a great time. If you feel gutted to have missed this brilliant event then check the EPIC UK calendar (http://www.epic-uk.co.uk) for more events coming up shortly!

Well done gentlemen! (Are there any women who play EPIC competitively?)

Looks like a great time, with great models, great terrain, and a great group of players!

Nice! Anyone named Gavin is an ace in my book!

Speaking of books, is that book still even legal? :)

All looks like lots of Epic fun.

Are there any photos of the armies themselves?

Check in the EA tournaments section, they should be just below this thread.

Epic-UK run events use the GW official rules, which are downloadable from GW site (these are the rulebook plus errata and FAQ).

There is a link to the official rules on their site http://epic-uk.co.uk/

Interesting. I, also, use those rules but use the NetEA army lists found here. I just thought the book was outdated because of the recent republishing of the online rules in October by GW.

I like printed material anyway, so maybe I'll buy it for completeness sake.

Thanks for posting so many great pics here!

It's well worth getting even if you have the downloadable rules (especially if you can pick up a second hand copy),just for the extras that are in the book and not available with the free download.
