If the wife and I are Down Under at that time, I just might have to show up!

The plan is still "in process"...

Sensational! You are a champion, my man.

Is just one day enough for all that Epic action?  ;)

Not in my opinion. That's why for both NEAT I and II we played more Epic on Sunday.

I meant that to be facetious, but I take your point.  :)

I'm happy in any case; a one-day tournament beats a zero-day tournament any day, and that's what we were looking at down here before dobbsy and thefloppy1 stepped up (with Heavy Bolter 2009 and CANCON 2010 respectively).

total players meant to bet there=18
total people that turned up = 17

I had a great day, the pub's parma at $11.50 AUD was fantastic. inhaled in 5 minutes. (two of us had that and two $9 burgers on all accounts were one of the highlights for the day)

It is important to mention that the club that hosted us is out in the country, like over an hour from the center of melbourne, so the pub(lobal Bar) is a very good place for a meal.

so here are my games. I played the Mineavaran IG list.
first game was V nyds, it it important to mention that i have played against this list 3 times in the last 4 weeks so i had an idea of how to beat it. it was a 2-1 to me.

simply i killed all the bio titans, and independant in the first two turns and then had the nyds over enxtented to hold objectives.

game 2 v Yme-Loc Craftworld eldar.  4 - 1 was the score.  this list needs some work it ran out of activations after the first two turns it couldn't stop 23 lemanruss (4 excuitioners) from ripping them apart. 14 falcoms in the first turn , leaving 6 super heavys and 2 revenants left, it went to 4 turns being 2-2 at end of turn 3, killed and broke 2 more super heavys, and broke the titan.  super heavys that were broken and the titan didn't regroup in the end phase and I got blitz, and break thier spirt as well.  I had 8 lemanruss, left had 3 from one formation nad 5 from another.
it was a bloody battle.

the last game was v AMTL, 2- 1
three turns, was also a bloody battle, could of hurt me alot if the knigts didn't try to take on 20 lemandruss in FF.

over all the guards did well.

thanks to chorma for playing Downunder, hopefully more of you guys want to come down to play.

cheer

Chroma has them! LOL. He's winging his way home as I type. We'll all have to wait till during the week.

After this posting here I feel like I'd love to run a completely international tournament    It would be awesome to see who was world champion.  :yay:  :sign1:

Big thanks to you Dobbs!!!  I hope to return the favour by running a tourney early to mid next year and let you cut lose with your tau.

Overall had great time.

1st game vs Phil Yme-Loc.
Hard game as 6 Cobras and reveants wouldnt die unless deathstriked.
Only won on count back.  :handshake:

2nd game vs Andreas Biel tan
Thanks to Andreas for letting everyone know that Vultures have 8x 2+ @ 90cm.  This was an Imperial Creed secret and since everyone now knows this we have decided that you need to build a bridge and get over it.
Yes, I won

3rd game vs Alex Ork Big Mob
Most enjoyable opponent.  He sacrificed his landa and ork mob to destroy the deathstikes 1st turn :agree:  but end of 3rd turn he had all 3 gargants broken.

I had vultures that would at the first instant take out any AA threat.  Deathstikes always went for something juicy.  Stormtroopers in Valkyries were the counter charge/ objective takers.  Inf comp held the blitz.  Super heavys and Tank company cleaned up anything else.  Flyers were used defensively until AA threats were gone.

Overall this tactic was stuck too all games and I won all three.

and I won all three.

No doubt we are going to hear about those wins for the next few years, right Russ?

*sigh*
