BTW was looking at the london 09 page on epic uk. I actually got 3 points in my last game against Mark Hargrave. Putting me on 38 generalmanship points (and Mark on 64)

And Chris Steel suddenly seems to have dropped a few places. what happened?

The score sheet show's you down as a 5-0 lose to Mark in the last game Alan.

Chris emailed in to say that his last game had been input the wrong way round (so he had a 2-0 defeat in the last game but was entered as a 2-0 win).

I've got the report slips so I'll have a look at your result when I get home.

correct so 29-3 I believe, the results as published are incorrect

Yes, I dropped my landa with a mob in it on his blitz at the end of the third turn, preventing mark from winning in that turn. We had not long for the 4th so we whizzed through it and Mark rapidly collected the rest of his goals. I could have dilly-dallied and forced a draw, but that would have been tooootally uncool wouldn't it.

Of course, it might have been slightely better for me to have allowed Mark to win 2-1 or 2-0 or whatever it was in the third...

Ohhh, you'd get yourself labelled as a WAAC tournament gaming die hard then  :whistle:

I've been in that situation with Nathan a few times, but normally it was him holding off knowing he could slap me 5-0 in 4!
