If your friend is from Delaware or Maryland than I can figure out who it is.  I had sixteen Tau auctions and 7 buyers though.
Patrick Weaver - I do recall meeting you right at the beginning - thanks for sending Dave my way here on the forum.  I am saddened to see the two of you have lost your jobs though. Big bummer.
Go-go emailed me today, as did one of the fellas from Direct Sales.  The tablespace won't be an issue.  Go-go said there is a meeting next month to discuss prizes and trophies and such, so I feel good about the progress.  Even if they give us a fraction of what we had last year, I'll be satisfied.  My only concern is getting the info out to prospective players now so they have time to paint their armies adequately.  We gave out $100 in prize vouchers for best looking army but we didn't find out about the money until the day of the competition.  Had people known they may have been more inclined to participate.
I threw out the idea that SG have Epic on site to sell to prospective buyers.  Have a few flyers by the tournament or maybe even a display and it would be a great way to sell to those who catch the Epic bug.  Once they have a few models, they will probably continue to collect them - it's getting that initial commitment that is the hardest step IMO.  GW wants the money and I want the players - it's a good deal.
