Also like to not waste the opportunity to showcase Neil's (aka NCO) and David's (aka Scutari) really fine Dark Eldar armies.
They tied second place for the best painting prize, really showing of the quality of Onslaughts Stygian range and have great proxies for Vessels of Pain.

Nice armies indeed, I do like those hornets Richard.

Fairly sure I ranted about yme-loc somewhere on here recently, it could be so much better with little tweaks - move an SC here, add a support troupe there. As it stands they may be worse at 3k than even alaitoc... Hey Richard, how about you take them to a string of tournaments and come bottom half with them? Maybe they'll get some attention then :)

He would probably end up winning something and we would have to nerf them ;) .

Some nice armies indeed, looks like a great day.

Winning with that list would need more than just a fair wind and good dice - you'd also need some favourable matchups to stand much of a chance imo.

Funnily enough i'd gone into the Ulani game thinking it might be a decent matchup for the Yme-Loc. Boy was i mistaken... Granted Alun making a truly staggering number of saves on his tanks helped, but the fact remained that tank on tank, the Russ could shrug my shooting off and then even on a double proceed to shred whatever had had the temerity to shoot at them.
