I strongly advise against planning for travel home on Sunday!! The French did this for the EEC in the UK, and to accommodate them we ended up playing FOUR games on Saturday - which was exhausting!

The point is that air travel takes a lot of time on the ground, and unless you are planning to fly late in the evening (assuming there is a suitable flight scheduled for that time) this will inevitably impact on the time available for games on Sunday leaving everyone flustered.



Depends on the destination, of course. From Stockholm to Copenhagen there are practically hourly flight every day...

I would of course like if the two games on sunday concluded sometime between lunch and dinner.
Please note, I am not blaming anyone over this year's timing, OK?

Perhaps it would help if we could agree the timing of the games on Sunday and give some idea of the latest that the event will finish, being generous with the timing for speeches, prize-giving, post game discussions etc. This might just give people the chance of a flight on Sunday evening (for all except the 'locals' like STM, :D ).

However, I still advise against it not least because it will give people another chance to exchange views in the evening as well as sampling the delights of Stockholm night life . . .

Hey, can anyone confirm what's actually happening with the EEC 2016? Time's a-ticking and people need notice to book cheaper flights and hotels

The most important things are probably dates and timings, which lists are permissable, scoring system and also details of location and surrounding area for restaurants, hotels and airports.... if we want to keep increasing attendance and growing the event, putting the word out early is key to getting maximum participants

Putting the word out on epic-fr and epic-de would be useful if you haven't already

So what's going on guys? :)

Hi guys!

We’d like to welcome you all Norrköping may 21-22 of may 2016 for the EEC 2016.

We will continue to build on the format used by previous two tournaments. It will be a team tournament and each team should have 4 members.

We will be able to arrange for up to 8 teams to come to the event (e.g. 32 players or 16 tables). Games will be arranged between teams so for instance during round 1 all four players in team UK will be matched against the players from team Norway etc. Within the teams players will be matched according to swiss.

Each country’s community decide on how to choose these teams as they see fit as previously. Teams from different countries will have precedence, however a country may bring more than one team if all 8 posistion are not taken by actual countries (a likely event based on attendance previous years). We reserve the right to take the first dual team place for Sweden, if any, with us having the home turf. ;D

Five rounds will be played over two days. Three on the Saturday and two on the Sunday. Each round will be 3 hours maximum, in addition after 2h 30 min a call will go out to mark the time and players are asked to not start any new game turns. A scedule for the event can be seen below.

09:00 - 09:30 Registration
09:30 - 09:45 Information.
09:45 - 12:45 Game 1
12:45 - 14:00 Lunch
14:00 - 16:00 Game 2
17:00 - 17:30 Paus
17:30 - 20:30 Game 3

Sunday
09:30 - 09:45 Registration day 2.
09:45 - 12:45 Game 4
12:45 - 14:00 Lunch
14:00 - 17:00 Game 5
17:00 - 17:? Ending – Price ceremony.


A players score in each game will be based on the epic-UK tournament scoring system. A teams score is the total of the four players individual score. Each team will recieve a bonus 20 pts to it’s team score if they get more wins in a round then the opposing team (not counting winning draws).

Prices will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, best individual score, and best painting (per popular vote).

Lists used will be the Approved ones in the NetEA tournament pack. One exception is Death Korps of Krieg which will use the developmental list. This list will also hopefully be approved by May and will then replace the one in the pack.

The different list are divided into race categories. A team may only bring one list from each race. The different races are:

Adeptus Mechanicus – Knight World, Titan Legion

Chaos Cultist – Stigmatus Convenant

Chaos Space marines – Black Legion

Dark Eldar – Kabal of Pain

Eldar – Alaitoc, Biel Tan

Imperial Guard – Baran Siegemasters, DKoK, Minervans, Steel Legion

Necrons – Scarab Conflict

Orks – Feral Orks, Speed Freaks, Gazkhuls Warhord

Space Marines – Codex Astartes, Salamanders, Scions of Iron, White Scars

Tau – Third Phase Expansion

Tyranids – Hive fleet Onachus

List shall be sent to the organizers at the latest Sunday two weeks prior to the event (the 8th of May). Any additional lists getting approved and added to the NetEA website before that deadline will also be allowed.

Wheres Norrköping?

Norrköping is located on the east coast of Sweden about 80km south of Stockholm. It's Swedens 10th biggest city .

The venue?

We'll host the EEC at the Primate Lounge which is a big MMA Gym located next to the bus- and train stations. We have 500m2 of space to make use of. Games will be fought on tables standing in a boxing ring and on a wrestling mats with lots of pads and sand bags around for participants to use if the dice gods doesn't favour them... :P

What will it cost?

The cost is set to 20 Euros per person.

Where to stay?

Theres a couple of alternatives within a 10 min walking distance to the venue:

http://www.hotelalbatross.se/ ( a hotel located right in between the Norrköping police station and an area with lots of biker clubs and non official after hour clubs)

http://www.marican-hotel.com/default.html (small hostel/hotel right by the Old theather house of Norrköping. Very close to lots of good restaurants)

theres more pricy hotels very close to the venue like Scandic hotel, President hotel and Grand Hotel. Please check them out at a booking site for the best prices and offers.
