Hi Ginger, thanks for that.

I'll drop you a PM with my details. In the meantime I'll try to get as much practice in as possible so I don't disgrace myself toooo much....

Don't worry Tiny-Tim, I'm fairly sure tha if turn I up you'll be sure of having a least one player do worse than you!

I'm based down near Bath, so am game for any event that might be held in London as it's only a train ride away.

I'll keep lurking (and who knows, maybe posting!) for news in any case.

Cheers again

Reedar

Copycat!

Where would he hold it - in the store?? Does he know how many people are likely to turn up?

When I do the next one, I will be assuming up to 30 people, and probably a single day (Saturday) to try to keep people's costs down. Even so, with Reedar from Bath, and a chap from Edinburgh (not to mention some of our overseas colleagues), a small hall may not be sufficient :D

However, the more tourneys the merrier - and if it is held in "official" GW premises, you never know - they might even get some stock in for people to buy :)

Aye in his store (He has only 5-6 tables though, so he'd have to have it as a knockout comp or something over a couple of weekends if it's popular).

He has no idea. :D

I think that's his motivation (Sales at least, if not actual models on shelves), several of the regulars at his store are picking up Epic after a few of my gaming group started playing there on a Wednesday (Unlike GW Brent Cross, it has a seperate gaming room, and closes at 10-11pm on a Wed. so it's pretty convinent for us oldsters), and he wants to support / encourage his regulars in their Epic adventure.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Warhammer World didn't increase the stock level for Bloodbowl when then world championships were there this year. The entire hall and moot full of blood bowl players!

Some guys are sharper than others. Some guys are always on the lookout for an opportunity, consider Moscovian's Baltimore tournament.

Others just sit on their asses.

----------

I think I might be up for the Wood Green tourny.

Does that mean we are now competing in the European EpicA Championship?

Great news and I glad the London tourney has filled up so fast.

On a slightly divergent note would people be interested in a 'Campaign weekend' in London (same venue probably). Less competitive, more team based with the usual Campaign stuff thrown in?

That sounds interesting. Epic's great for competitive play, but it'd be fun to do something a bit different once in a while.
