I'm going to do the draw will do the first round draw once the final list is back. Bye will be the lowest ranked player from round two onwards, so tactical play for any that want a lie in either day

Round one can start after 18:00 on Firday, though we can start earlier if people and terrain are there.

Apart from the truly horrific amount of painting I have to finish tonight... I think I'm ready for tomorrow.

When is everyone arriving?

Mike (aka round one foe), did you have an arrival time in mind? I'll probably be leaving about midday, aiming to arrive 4pm (Friday traffc being what it is, probably 5pm) - well that's my plan at the moment.

I'm hoping to get there around 4-5pm pending traffic, we'll see though!

Good luck for the weekend guys - and especially with travelling to and from Manchester.
Am deeply jealous and frustrated at being unable to join in this year

My coach is meant to be getting to Manchester for 4:20, though I'm borrowing most of what I'm using from Tiny Tim, so I'll need to wait for him to get there too.

I'm aiming to be there mid afternoon as normal

My painting is not going well to say the least… I’ve just now undercoated my giant WE of death.

I was considering staying up all night and trying to do a rush job on it… but having spent £60 buying the model that seems a waste. It’ll have 3 colours on it and be based to be legal, but that’ll have to do, sorry folks. It’s a shame, but I’ve just been super busy recently.

Well first problem of the day. Car won't start.

At least I've found out now and not when I needed to leave.

Oh no! It's machine-spirit must be angry... What are you meant to do in these situations again?... something about chanting litanies to the Omnissiah, wafting incense censors and massaging the engine with sacred oils isn't it?

On a more serious note I hope it's fixable!

Shame to start by losing 5-0 but it was my first game in 6 months using an unfamiliar army, Richard deployed and played better and I had noticeably worse than average dice rolls across the game (e.g. the first 10 5+ re-rollable saves for my Obelisks I made all failed). I still enjoyed the game though and I hope I'll do better next game

Still I made best use of my bye lie-in by staying up till gone 3am chatting and drinking with the old friend who's house I'm staying over at
