Sigh, It's a good job I print of a copy of all the lists I've entered into the database. Yep, it's fun explaining you play with toy soldiers to your co-workers :)

Rug, you can join the 3 or 4 people who used my print outs at Britcon!

Day 1

Game 1- Mephison's Steel Legion
1-0 DRAW on VPs after turn 4 (We were within 100pts of each other, can't remember who was ahead)

Game 2- Rug's Space Marines
3-0 on turn 4

Game 3- Sam's Black Legion
0-2 on turn 4

Tomorrow, my first game will be up against skullric's Air Cavalry.

Day 2

Game 4 - Skullric's Vanaheim Air Cavalry
2-0 win on turn 3? ***

Game 5 - Kev101's Black Legion
1-0 WINNING DRAW on turn 4 (I was at least 1000pts ahead, we didn't even bother counting)

My final placing was 4th, and I also took home a "player's vote" best painted award, which was very cool!

I may write up a full report at some point, but it was a really fun bunch of Epic games, and I'll be coming to more two day events.

*** I can't remember the score with certainty as it's been a long day with a long drive at the end, but I think it was 2-0! Definitely on turn 3 though. :-)

Oh Ben, I would have relegated you to the bottom of the table :) In fact if you ever want to test this you can come round my house and we'll fight it out! (Since I too cannot go anywhere after work for many weeks :( .)

So how did the steel legion army do?

Mephison:

Correct my tournament ranking for this tournament, because it's wrong?

And PM me the email addres to send the photos of the winners that I took? (Why do those get taken anyway, they don't get posted online, right?)

Thanks to everyone for a great weekend!

Also, apologies to the chap (sorry, forgotten which game it was in) I told my Stompas were fearless - I've been playing that wrong for about 3 years now... Whoever it was beat me in any case so I got what I deserved.

See you all at OW14, when I will have read the rules properly...

Aye. Thank you for a really good weekend, chaps. Thanks to Joe, Dave T and Steve for tactical contributions that turned my handling of my force from a cautious advance to an unrelenting destructive wall of IRON, to Dave B, to my opponents, the organisers and to anyone else who made me welcome.

At my place, the CEO and CTO both worked on the original Warhammer MMO, one guy's an ex-Black Library employee, our recently departed HR manager was ex-GW, we did a company outing to the WHW museum one evening last year, and for some reason, there's a random Car Wars vehicle sheet printout been sat next to one of the printers for the last week. Safe to say, I don't need to explain the toy soldiers...

It's probably a Notts thing...

sam.
