After much agonizing on which race to take, i've finally made a decision. List submitted

Looks like Tim's the favourite for this year then! No pressure Tim

In mine and other's fantasies by the looks of things.

However, things normally start to fall apart once we play Richard - failed activations, prepped engagements bouncing and general dice'icide I'd expect top place to be between you and Simon.

More fun from my point of view is what will people be taking, my guesses are:

Simon - Orks (lots of fortresses again)
Chris - Vanaheim (cause they are just a brilliant army)
Joe - Eldar (BT) (back to old faithful as Joe eases back into Epic)
Dave - Space Marines (pure guess)
Mark - Necrons (as he let the cat out of the bag earlier)
Gavin - Eldar (BT) (to prove Cobras are still a poor choice)
Richard - Eldar (Iyanden) (They are painted and this is the smallest size that he'll play them at after last point increases)

I'm thinking it might look a bit like this:

Simon - World Eaters
Chris - Orks
Joe - Tau
Dave - Nids
Mark - Necrons
Gavin - Eldar (i think the Marine lander experiment a few years back was a bit traumatic)
Tim - Chaos (or some sub-variant) or Eldar (as neither have been used yet this year)
Me - I'll say on Saturday once all the lists are in

I also haven't used Marines or LatD either yet this year. Dark Eldar and Tau still haven't seen any paint as yet

Secret list submitted after a quandary that remains unresolved at the moment . . . .
I am also slightly surprised at the average forecast that ranks me higher than 8th.

Given my comments on the Cobras, do you really think I would even contemplate trying them - AFAIK, no one else has either, certainly not in a tournament. As far as I am concerned that was a "stat too far" to misquote

As for the Marine "lander" list, I think that was one of my more successful experiments at producing something that was both fun and 'fluffy'. It certainly produced the game of the century as far as I am concerned against Chris Steels Vanahaim army. Yes I did roll 9x '1's out of 10x dice (and 6x '1's the following game) but it was a totally amazing game that was galactic as far as the fun factor was concerned, quite possibly because of the crazy dice rolls.

And I have not yet fielded Orks, IG or 'Nids yet . . .

One list left and so far no duplicates, we have a couple of 'race' duplicates but using different lists. Looking good.

I'm really curious to see what a 4k necron army will look like, i've never seen them used above 3k!
