Finally back at home now. It was great to catch up with everyone today. I found Salute this year to be busier than normal, but a little less inspiring than previous years in terms of new products and highlights. But, a good day out.

Excellent day on the Troublemaker stand, the game was universally well received by everyone who gave it a go. Wish I'd taken a photo. Four of my mates turned up dressed as gentlemen adventurers from the game too which was awesome and helped attract interest.

Was good to see timeline 300 going down well & I certainly enjoyed my intro. The resources aspect makes it really interesting & gives it a good USP. I would have liked to get another game in to teach Zombocom a lesson, but maybe another time ;)

The figures are great, especially the martians, but thats not to say I'm not looking forward to doodling some paint on the business card you gave me!

Where we're you based then E&C, I kept an eye out for anyone who looked suitably epic? I saw a few people in steam punky top hats.

I must say the KR case impressed me the most, really nice bloke running it and he has trays specifically for epic miniatures. He even opened up a shrink wrapped pack because I didn't want the deep trays.

The chap making cheap formed buildings was also very friendly. I asked him about 6mm buildings, he said he would like to make some, but he needs ideas, they would have to be reasonably large. For what it is I was impressed with what I got (28mm though it was)

Hi chaps,

Unfortunately I missed the meetup: neither Troublemaker nor Timeline 300 were on the show guide, the Salute crew couldn't tell me where to find them, and I didn't see them on my way round. Sorry to have missed you all. Next time maybe.

Same happened to me and I actually know how both of them look in person!

We were very near to the discworld strand, not far from Dropzone Commander.
Didn't see you Carlos!

We were a last minute fill in for another group so weren't in the guide.

Last five minutes of the day, the head of maelstrom games came by, enthused about the models, and asked if he could stock Timeline 300!
We said yes. :-)

That's awesome news - Congratulations troublemaker!

Good to see Jodrell again in person, only sorry I got dragged away so quickly at the Twilight stand. I had assumed I'd see you later but it was not to be. I didn't realise troublemaker weren't on the map, my fault for making the call on a meeting place! :/

I think what impressed me most was the excellent showing from this forum. Considering we are relatively small compared to places like Warseer, Dakka, B&C, etc, we had DRM, Exodus, Timeline 300 and Curis, as well as several people involved in demp games. My apologies if I didn't get to say to everyone on the day, and well done to all who were involved. Lets see if TacCmd can take over Salute 2013! >:D

I didn't realise we weren't going to be on the plan either, or I'd have told everyone we were at GC07.

Maybe we could organise a TacCmd demo game or even a stand to show off miniatures, forumware etc and generally promote the site? I'd chip in a few quid on the cost of the stand.

Well, if you wanted the scratchbuilders to get the attention of gw,showing off their models would be a great way to do it.

Perhaps not a proxy display. However, if we could get 10 people each bringing 3000 points of Epic, for a 15K v 15K game, that would be awesome! ;D

Get some fliers printed up, maybe some custom dice.... Hmmmm.... Interesting idea.

That would be great. While there were lots of thinks that could be used for epic, the only mention I saw of the (awesome) game was on a shrink wrapped bundle of foam on the KR stall.
