All members of team SLW have confirmed that they can do either Sat 16th or Sun 17th May.

It would be great if we could get confirmation of the date and venue by tomorrow if possible.

Depends if some players get armies finished!

When this idea was formed between the two clubs we did discuss inviting other clubs. We decided to 'keep it simple' for the first one, and then after that we can agree to add more complexity at future events both in terms of adding other clubs, and also maybe adding more variety in terms of games played (we are only doing straight-forward 3k games this time). There are loads of more Ryder-Cup style options we could do at future events including doubles and maybe Minigeddon for the newer members of clubs (this would be great for recruitment within each club).

I'm sure there will be many ideas discussed at the post grudge food and drinks - there was last time! :)

Waiting to receive the call back from their event manager.
Will call in myself if i haven't heard from them after a while.

Any more opinions on the trophy? :)

I'd be happy with any of the trophy options. Have you seen them in the flesh? If so, I think you will be best placed to decide.

Hey Guys :) Looking forward to it! Will be nice to finally get some serious gaming in after the house is finished off (hopefully in the next 3 weeks)

Trophy wise, 1 looks fine to me.

What's the plan scenery wise btw? I can try and get some new stuff constructed when i have a chance, currently as a club we've probably got sufficient for 2 tables though.

Booking for the 17th of May is placed, waiting for Dark Sphere to confirm.
Times slot is 10am-6pm. Starting fee: £10

Nope, not in the flesh. Though they are from the same supplier i get the BOTT trophies from, so i expect them to be of good quality. General opinion favours option 1 so far.

To get the ball rolling for the engraving i propose the following in a centred format:

Epic Armageddon
London Derby
2015

Thoughts? :)

I feel for you, Richard. Have been in a similar position the last 2-3 weeks... work all day for my new flat. ;)

Scenery wise i enquired with Dark Sphere about their stock and hopefully hear back from them together with the booking confirmation.
Based on what i have seen last time, they have grass mats and some scale independent hills and rocks etc.

We will bring 1-2 tables worth of our club terrain, so should work out fine if you guys got the same.
There's also always a full table of Dropzone Commander ruins cape + upgrades.

I assume as it is Epic UK we are using barrage chart on their website and also +1 to hit when on CAP/intercepting?

Great. I think clwc has a confirmed team of florian, Mark w, Gavin, Nick Mole, and me. We just need to work out what armies to bring now. I like the idea that slwc have of taking 5 different races. I'm sure we'll try to match that.

Even more important: will dices and the metric system be used?

Everyone should be using these as they are the official GW updates from their 2008 rules revision, they are not EUK additions.

I see. That's excellent news.

Took a while and quite some calls chasing it but Dark Sphere finally confirmed the booking :)

Time to talk about the format.

To get the ball rolling, i suggest each team playing 5 different army lists/races with SM chapters, guard regiments, craftworlds and so on counting as separate army lists.

Clubs would make the races played public 2 weeks before the event to allow for strategy research and list tuning.
This would not include publishing army lists.

Lists would need to be submitted to each clubs TO a week in advance.
Both TOs then trade lists, again without making them public.

First round will see random pairing between the clubs. Round two will see a swiss pairing between the clubs.

Players score VP according to the EUK tournament rules.
After 3 rounds point within a club will be added up to a club total.

Have at it. :)
