Count me in Ginger.

One day tourneys are a bit of a lottery when it comes to the result - but it's the taking part that counts right?!  :)

OK, for those who may be interested in staying overnight, I have just checked with UCL who say there is currently space available in "Astor" (£26.18 bed only per night) and "Ramsay" (£32.30 B&B per night). details here

Both are approximately 10 mins walk from the venue.

So we just have to firm up on the dates which I will confirm shortly.

Two days and not one?

I'll have a think.

Because it give more games and thus generally a fairer result that is less dependent on the initial draw.

Urgent call to London tournament goers

All, please confirm ASAP what accommodation you require. I have just been informed of some conditions that UCL intend to impose around minimum numbers which are not yet on their website. If we cannot meet these requirements you may be forced to stay elsewhere at considerable extra cost.

At present we have not incurred any costs but I need to get this sorted out right now to make sure that things go ahead as planned.

OK we may have a problem here with the accomodation. I have been informed by UCL that they require individuals to book a minimum of three nights, and while that restriction does not apply to groups, the minimum group size is 20. So, unless you are planning a longer stay in London, UCL is no longer an option which is a pity as alternatives are generally more expensive and less convenient.

The good news is that only Matt and Mephiston seem to need accomodation (and I can put them up), so I presume that the rest of you are making your own arrangements - - - If not, please contact me ASAP.
