I must take pains to correct you sir - My double Emperor Titan army only came 3rd to last! ^^

And @Mephiston: yes it really was just 4. :P

Great fun tournament.

Game 1: Russel's Double Emperor Nonsense List

Pretty much as you'd expect; I killed the warhound then fed chaff to the big fellas while the rest of the army hid, ready to pop out and grab the objectives on the third turn. I made a silly intermingling mistake on turn three (while saying "need to be careful not to intermingle"), which took it to a fourth turn, where I grabbed Blitz and T&H for a 2-0 win.

Game 2: Gavin's Cobratastic Eldar

All skimmy Eldar are a horrible match-up for 'nids, and by rights I should have lost horribly, but luckily for me, the "Luck Of Gavin" was in full flow, and he managed to roll an ungodly number of 1's to activate, including managing to fail 6 out of 10 2+ activations on the first turn. This allowed us to play out something of a stalemate, ending in a 0-0 draw, but a points win to Gavin.

Game 3: Tom M's Speedfreak Luftwaffe

If I thougth skimmy eldar were a bad match-up, facing vast numbers of fighta-bommas wasn't much better! Tyranid AA is poor at the best of times, and here did almost nothing. I got a little lucky on a couple of engagements that kept me in the game, but by the end the skorchas did their job and broke just about everything, leading to a 2-0 loss on turn three.

Alas my few unpainted models cost me 10 tournament points and at least 8 places, throwing me from mid-table obscurity to just above the relegation zone.

Day 2 - The Mega Battle

Not a huge amount to say here other than we hugely skewed the scenario in favour of the Imperium, with predicable results. 8000 points of nids trying to cross 8 feet of table while being shelled into non-existance by 10000 points of guard, titans and marines was silly fun, but alas pretty one-sided.

Oh, and the epicUK Tyranid Hierophant/Hydraphant stats are completely terrible.

Great fun though!

Onto the big three (Hush Cut and Thrust!)

Angor comes in 3rd after his pesky cubes teleport everywhere!
Image

A tied position for 2nd place! Matt Arnold and Al Wetherall both win themselves a pre-release exodus wars Behomoth!
Image
Image

And BEN EDGAR...the most robot like Epic Opponent Ever...wins Brsitol Winter Warmer for a third year in a row...winning yet more in store credit!
Image
Don't worry folks...we've made him promise to test his mettle at an EpicUK Tournament soon: is he really the UK's ultimate 6mm sci fi gamer or can the likes of Dave Thomas, Joe Jephson or other top ranked players defeat this man?! Tune in next year!

So long and thanks...for all the fish!
Yrs,
