No news from the French.
I'm being ignored, even by my contact. So it's either an impolite refusal or it's holliday season.
I'll wait till Tuesday and if there has been no answer, I'll try one last time.

I've finally got a reply from the French.

The one who tried to form a team, has been left waiting for replies from his mates. He has no interest in participating "on his own"
So it 's quit save to say that there will be no French team.

While i am not part of a team and unfortunately can't spectate because i used up all my holiday, i still massively enjoy observing how this is coming together!

We could do something like this in London next year. I wonder if the North Americans could also be interested - it is long way but we could make it a great trip for them if they did!

The hosting should not be linked to winning.
Every national team participating should host the tournament at one time using some round robin sheme.
It would be good if every team participating considers how much they want to host the next EEC. Than we discuss at the event who will host the next event. UK or Sweden would be the logical choice.
We shouldn't start discussing (except in team to determine the interest of hosting )before the current event at least has started, to prevent interest to be divided.

No we do not have the English writing resources for some journalistic coverage.
What we should be able to provide are the results and ranking after each game and some photographs on the go.
