What army did Joe have?

(Note, he didn't stick it up - having a life so not obsessively looking at the internet is clearly not the reason, he must have been looking for every edge! :) )

Congrats Joe and when will we see the Imperial Guard you talked about (always nice to have a new army win best painted)?

I'm not sure those scores are right for the substitute team.

I got a 2-0 turn 3 win in game 2, and a 2-1 loss in turn 4 game 3.  Daz seemed to do ok too scoring a couple of wins.

Not that the sub-team performance is particulary relevant, lol.  But since it's on display publically...

Stomp, Firstly thanks for stepping in and giving everyone a game. The first 4 games were scored as zero but for some reason the last games got the scores added in when they shouldn't have.

When I do the complete data entry for Epic UK site I'll put the correct scores into the system so your individual stats will show up correctly.

Best tournament of the year so far, six great opponants and taking down a great gargant, reaver and warlock titan to boot, what more can you want

Great event as ever. Really going from strength to strength and is already the don't miss tournament for 2010 for me  :vD

Thanks to Matt, Gavin, Matt, Chris, Glyn and Darren for fun, tough games played in an excellent spirit.

Brief report of games on my blog (link in sig). Its pretty generic as I can't remember too much as all the games seem to blend into one now!

A poor joke about 6 4000 point games blending into one?

Ahhh, sorry still really tired!

I've changed that to read 'Six 4000' but you had me worried I'd posted something dumb elsewhere!

But think how many jetbikes Ginger could field in 24,000 points! Wouldn't need a lights with that much yellow on the table!

Wow!  I'm quite surprised the pseudo-Saim Hann army placed so low!

What happened in those fights?!

What happened in those fights?!

Two main factors.

A) Time, as it really requires quite carefull planning and positioning Ginger never got to the end of most games, with them running out of time at the end of 3 turns without any clear winner.

b) Gingers dice, which against me lost him some key assaults, refused to activate some formations and at the end of turn 2 failed to rally at least 5 formations!

In our game I was in a much stronger position at the end of 3 turns, with Ginger having to move apart to stop me wining. Time ran out so a 16 all point draw in UK tournament terms. I'm almost certain I would have won turn 4 as I was in a much better position and would probably have out activated him by then!
