Clicking on either link too much effort then?

I clicked on the first link, found no information other than a postcode. As it happens, I used to live in manchester so I recognised it, but most wouldn't.

I'm trying to help here.

Dates should be in the post too.

I cannot understand EpicUK's marketing strategy. Not telling people when and where the event is taking place, but laying out the points costs of the games seems to me to be getting the priorities wrong.

But meh, if this is a epicUK lists only event (also not specified in the post) it doesn't effect me anyway.

Britcon is a special tournament, the best tournament of the year as such it has a minimum requirement for entry - the ability to click on two links ;)

Britcon 2010
Manchester University (Manchester) - Barnes Wallis Building (Just over the road from Manchester Picadilly train station).
From Friday 13th August (play one game Friday evening, start anytime between 6-9pm and finish no later than midnight)
Until Sunday 15th August
6 x 4000 pts games.

Its brilliant.

And for those that need everything spoon fed to them (youth of today..mutter) it is Epic-UK lists only.

It's cost is from £115 to £184 odd for 2 nights B&B in either student rooms or hotel room. Entry is via snail mail to the British Historical Games Society using the form provided on the BHGS website. Now I agree that its not the best to navigate. So from the home page select events. Then Britcon. Then delegate entry and all the information you could every want, but were afraid to ask for, is available to you.

As Yme states you play one game on the Friday evening. Normally the earliest this can start is 18:00, and you must begin the game by 21:00 as the latest it can finish is 23:59. As Kev101 for details :P. As such its probably best if you can afford to take at least the afternoon of work (assuming you are in employment) and many of the players in the past have taken the entire day of to arrive early to play either some warm up games or different games as the mood takes them.

Day 2 starts nice and early as game 2 kicks of at 08:15. 3 games today with the third game ending at 20:15. Don't forget that there are a selection of wargames traders present should you wish to expand your lead mountain. Saturday evening then features the pub quiz starting at 22:30 after which yellow jerseys are awarded to the current leader in each system.

Sunday you get a lie in as your 5th game doesn't start until 08:30. One more game after this and thats all done. 17:45 the awards start to be dished out and normally everyone is on their way by 18:30 or so.

As others have said its a truly brilliant event and the one I always get on the calendar as soon as I can.

M1 3NL is the postcode for the event. Hope that is comprehensive enough for everyone. Hope to see some of you there.

You haven't noted that Epic:Armageddon is a "tabletop wargame", intended to be played between two players using dice, miniature figurines and measuring tape.

Nor have you noted that it exists in the "Warhammer 40,000" background setting and that it features armoured space knights and fungaloid cockney-esque creatures with the mentality of an angry six year-old.

Nor have you noted that it is expected to be played by Human beings (Homo Sapiens).

I am sincerely disappointed in everything.
