Living about 3 miles away from the venue, I'll wait for the tickets too, but would be rude to miss it really..

From the delegate entry section of the britcon page

Players whose permanent home address is a Manchester postal code can enter on a day basis at any time. The cost of a day package is £40.00 and does not include breakfast or parking. Please note that there are no exceptions to this rule.

So you Manchester types can book tickets now.

Just been on 'trainline.com' ... £30.30!

Howcome the further you travel (e.g. London) the less you pay  :sulk:

I'm not really complaining about the price; £15.00 each way is pretty good.

So what sites do you two get your brillant deals on!

Virgin trains, as they are the operator of said train. I could have got the same price on thetrainline.com

Na,

It's still the same on Virgin Trains ... still like I said earlier, £30.30 is pretty darn good!

What the UK tournament scene needs is a player high up in the UK train sector than can get us (or more specifically ME) reduced train fares ... I can't just put it on my expenses  :)

Cheers for that.

I used the trainline as well.  I suspect you get a cheaper ticket for travelling on a London train (economies of scale and all that).

You did opt for two singles didn't you?  Bizzarrely that's cheaper than a return......  :oo:

East/West train travel is always bad. North/South up either mainline is better.
