What sort of obscene record is that?!?!
40k related?

Otherwise the response that we're getting is amazing: biggest Epic tournament on record AND most Orks on the table? Now THAT would be impressive!

I would say yes! Then the evening beforehand we Will know how many players on each side exactly. Lists should be
three thousand each to keep things simple.
I Will try taking a tally of who wants to play on each side...answers on a pat card HERE please!

Forget about another dissertation deadline or somesuch, did ya? :-P

EDIT:

And Rug, I don't think it's a matter of "us and them", it's just that the south of the UK has more Epic players in it, many of whom can't be bothered with the 100+ mile trip in order to play toy soldiers for the weekend.

I'm sure the south could support a healthy tourney scene if we could manage to get a suitable set of locations and regular-ish dates (I've been eyeballing March as the next suitable date for a southern tourney, as the only tourney that month is all the way out in Manchester).

This sounds like fun. Will be my first Epic tourney (played maybe a half dozen or so games before, so not much experience) but it should be good. Where do I sign up?

2 down but one up....not so bad :-) Real shame that Rug and Rich can't make it but, remember guys, if you can make it last minute in the end anyway just turn up and play :-)

Welcome to Taccomms Barazhufatufafa (a complicated username if ever I saw one!) If you can make it then consider yourself signed up as from now, all information about the event is on the front page of this discussion :-)

Where are you based by the way and how did you find out about the tourney?

NORTH/SOUTH DIVIDE: Invariably I have to agree, I'd like to make more tourney's for EpicUK events but getting all the way up north, on a train, ready to play at 9 am, invariably having to find a place to stay the night, etc, just doesn't do it for me always! There is also, through pure geographical terms, essentially two main groups of UK players is would seem, North and South. The North was running tourneys first and those of us down south just so happened to get into the game in our own little nooks and crannies as friends.

That make 24, I believe?

That's still the largest Epic tourney on record. :-)

Right so that's 2 more for the torni.
My mate Rob - Necrons (some of you might remember him from last year)
and My mate Robin - Imperial Guard. (new to Epic40k)

Have we got a postcode/addy for the torni as we may come down on the Friday and stay over.

One map: http://maps.google.com/maps?client=ubun ... =en&tab=wl

Excellent that we have another two players! We're getting big! THe only downside is that we might have to provide some fairly generic tables if we get too big! But the more the merrier! Again if anyone can bring a tables worth of scenery that would be great but me, hymirl and edgarsan will be working our socks off these next two weeks to build what we can.

A quick note, we will be using the standard EpicUK 3 Game Tournament rules pack for the Winter Warmer. You can find it here:

THinking of Sunday's big gaming day Epic UK's 'Megageddon' has some rulesets in it:

http://www.epic-uk.co.uk/rules/Meggageddon.pdf

I reckon the only thing I'd change is forcing people to retain the initiative...Suggest 3000pts per person instead as well.

IMPORTANT NOTE: have added errate to the EpicUK 3 Game Tourney rules at top of thread to clear up any confusion!

Second IMPORTANT NOTE: you've got 6 days to submit your army lists to: 'last_action_hobbit AT yahoo dot co dot uk'.
This is in the interest of making sure everything runs smoothly. If you've expressed interest here and are still coming to the event then a few points will be deducted to late submission purely as an incentive to keep organised!

In all cases please tell me which version of an army list you've used!

Please pass this message on to anyone else who you know is attending.
