Hi Epic folks,
I am happy to announce that the London Club Derby is making its return in 2016!
Two clubs have signed-up, the Central London Wargamer Club and the South London Wargamers. This makes it a exciting rematch to last year and we are looking forward to see if the SLW can defend the challenge cup.
The date is booked in for Saturday 23.04 at Dark Sphere. 10am start, £10 sign-up fee. Both clubs now need ti muster a team of 5 players, including a team captain. The captain will then see his team through a 1st round pairing system where both clubs match up their players against each other, based on the army lists chosen.
The deadline for announcing your team and the races played is the 1st of April. This years event structure is the following:
Round 1: 3000 points
Lunch Break
Round 3: 3000 points
Round 4: 3000 points
*edit: both clubs agreed on 3x 3k matchesEach team must present 5 unique races, not counting sub-factions.
After the first round, players will get paired using a swiss system. Each games result will be added to a 'club pool', resulting in an overall total that will determine the winning team after all rounds are played.
The victorious team will gain the right to hold the challenge cup, fill it with booze and proudly display it at their club till they get challenged for it next year.
The loosing team will receive a special wooden spoon price. More info on this soon.
There will be a demo table available on the day, no own miniatures needed. Please note that anybody is welcome to come along to spectate, chat with both clubs and celebrate our favourite game.
We are all very much looking forward the the 23rd!
See you at the table.
