Echoing the others, Many thanks Simon for organising the event.
Indeed at least one visitor to Tabletop games was looking for other Epic players and surprised to see so many in one place.
Well I had an "interesting" day, with an untried army that did not perform all that well, though there were some surprises.
Game #1 Vs Tim (Nids)
I chose 'corners' spreading the Eldar T&H objectives, Tim garrisoned a Nest on one and Swarm on the other. Tim placed his more centrally allowing me to Garrison a Hornet formation on each with the 3rd garrisoned forwards from my Blitz (in the corner). The game then followed a series of extreme results that saw both sides lose assaults they had all but won. When the dust had cleared, the Eldar had 5 broken formations which put them too far behind the curve. 4-0 to the Nids
Game #2 Vs Brumbaer (Marines)
I garrisoned two Hornet formations behind terrain, The Marines responded with scouts and Landspeeders. The game started off very cautiously with both sides crippling the opposing garrisons. However the Marines outactivated Eldar and kept at a distance from most Eldar fire. Then my 'usual' luck kicked in, I could not throw more than "3" while Brumbaer maintained the laws of averages by throwing all the high numbers - and now admits that my dice rolls are unbelievably bad

At the start of turn #3 I had three small activations available. 4-0 to Marines
Game #3 and comments to follow.
