Plenty of rusty players coming up. Join the crowd! I'll put out another email and maybe people can double up on rooms as an added discount.

Played Eldar twice, was 1-1. Fun day, as usual. It's always good to meet new players. The highlight had to be Bill's surprise birthday cake.

Forty SEVENTH birthday? Thanks, @SS. :)

Played in a Big Battle. Great game of 12,000 points of Chaos attacking 9000 points of Imperial Guard. Minervan Legion, Elysians, and Death Korp of Krieg stood proudly united against Black Legion and a traitor Minervan force.

Highlights from the game include...
*Dan took a loss of his Banelord titan right off the bat when my Elysian Vultures stripped it's shields, followed by a death strike missile hit and finished off by SHT fire. It was this moment when we actually gave the Chaos side an extra 3000 points.
*Elysians failed to field an entire formation, so there was a morale victory for me right there.
*Studdering Dave's Snake Eyes roll with his death strikes. Holy smokes!!!
*Game ended with a tie of 1-1 after everyone started to wear out a bit.

Got to play one more game against ePilgrim for the first time in years (normally we end up matching against other people). It was a standard Steel Legion list against my Elysians. Turn 1 was rough on the jump troopers. Turn 2 started to equalize a bit. Turn 3 surprised the snot out of ePilgrim as I mobilized everything against his HQ and a reinforced Mech Inf formation. It was close... but not close enough. The score tied up and we went to turn 4 which turned against me. We both rolled '4's and that meant we were going to turn 5. However it was 11:30pm and it was clear the Elysians were spent. I relented and...

The Golden Grot Trophy was lost to the Outlyers. Bethlehem Resin reluctantly turned over the Epic trophy and watched it drive away.

Mattthemuppet, Farseer, Kalpesh, and ePilgrim. Basically anyone not from Bethlehem Resin or Adeptus Ineptus. I suspect that Mattthemuppet did most of the crushing, since -by the time it came down to ePilgrim and I- it didn't matter if I won or not.

I have to say, I did feel a bit bad about my sneaky space elf tricks against Ron. For a few milliseconds at least :)

Highlights of the day for me were Ron's excellent feedback on Dave's tyrannid list "they're just GAY", although he didn't specify if that was "happy" gay or "bats for the other team" gay. Also finding out that our ex-intelligence chief can still be fooled by his wife's counter-espionage and expert cake delivery (the whole "my wife forgot my 40th b'day" sob story beforehand was the icing on the cake, he he he). Oh, and gluing my urinating warwalker on top of the trophy. After the birth of my daughters, the proudest moment of my life <sniff sniff>

there were lots of other cool moments (finally beating an almost entirely WE FS MW EA army with infantry, schooling Karl to kick Ron's butt etc) too, looking forward to the next time!

Speaking of which, my previous basement tenant (cough, victim) has left/ been buried under the vegetable patch, so after I've cleaned up the various stains my basement will be free the whole of April. So, if anyone wants a rematch (and free gimp mask) I'm happy to host the next session. Bit of a hassle for our AI friends, but at least there'll be free accommodation and fine food from my lovely wife :)

It actually may be worth it, just as long as I don't end up as fertilizer.

Yes, I found Ron's feedback most helpful. His itemized list and thorough explanation with regards to game balance and playability were most useful...

I lament not getting more games in (and having two of my teammates mistake each other for the enemy again and battle it out amongst themselves...) but hopefully I'll be able to play at NEAT IV this year. Bugs will be brought and bugs will be tested.

I don't think there'll be enough of you to make effective fertilizer to be honest. Though I could fatten you up a bit first...
