This sounds really good. I like the idea of doing one day official and one day experimental. I have some Tau on the go that might just be painted by then. I'm in!

Ok

Only 4 spaces left at present, so contact me if you definitely want to come along!

Accomodation
So far (apart from Hena), no-one has asked for accomodation. please get in touch ASAP if you need it, as I need to book this next week (before the end of March).

Entrants so far
I have 14 people who have said they want to play, with a further 2 (TRC and Hena) who may be able to travel in from outside the UK. I have sent out forms to most people, but I need the following to contact me so I can pass on the entry form to them :-
  • Zombocom
  • Pulsar
  • The Kyussian
  • Gary
So far the following have said they want to play:-
  • Steve54
  • Yme-loc
  • Braveheart (who has kindly agreed to act as umpire)
  • Evil&Chaos
  • NickRice
  • Alansa
  • Tiny-Tim
  • Mephiston
  • Pulsar
  • Damien Bradley
  • Torgoch
  • Hena (possible)
  • The-real-Chris (possible)
  • The Kyussian
  • Gary
  • zombocom
Note, Although there is an upper limit of 20 people, once I receive the forms detailing which days people will attend there may be a few more spaces left for one or other day.

Experimental Sunday
I have not yet decided which "experimental" lists will be permissible on Sunday, though most of the more balanced lists should be usable.

Watch this space for further developments

As someone who has said he wants to enter the competition, and also as someone who I need to get in touch with (as I do not have his email details - or those of "the Kussian", "Gary" or "Pulsar")

Last warning for anyone who needs to stay overnight in London for this tournament.

I'd love to come, if any of those spaces are still available. I've magnificently failed to turn up to any tournies recently, so it's about time I got my act together.

I'm pretty sure there's room Matani. Email Ginger for an entry form if he hasn't sent you one already.

Do you think you can convince mintroll to come too?

Hi all... I'd love to come to this, but that weekend is my future brother-in-laws stag do - family or epic, it was a tough call.

Hope it all goes well, I'm lending my Tau to Rich (it's all unpainted and I've hardly used it) for him to have a go with.

NB. I've still got those photos of OW9 to put up at some point (read I'm getting round to it honest).

Tuit's are really hard to find nowadays, especially the round ones :p

Now if you could help Rich paint some of the Tau . . .

Experimental Sunday

Having consulted with various people, I think we will adopt the following approach:-
  • This will be a less formal day for people to try out new / experimentally lists.
  • We will adopt the latest ?balanced? lists recommended by the Army Champs ? so basically, email me with your army list preference, and we will try to sort out which list is ?tournament current?.
  • Because we are ?testing? the lists, the usual tournament mechanisms will be applied in order to give as even a set of matches as possible, but these will be engineered to ensure :-
? ? ? a. Everyone who brings a second ?Experimental? army will get at least one match with it.
? ? ? b. In each match an ?Experimental? list will be matched up against an ?official? list where possible to allow better analysis of the ?experimental? list
? ? ? c. People do not play the same person twice in the day
  • Time limits will be a little more relaxed to get complete results, so while the intention is to hold three games, we may only get two as people leave to get home etc.
  • We will enter the results in the "Championship", unless there is a "Stewards enquiry into technicalities" :)

Time to get your entries in folks

20 people (21 including me) are ?interested? in the London tournament, but only five have officially entered. Space is limited to an absolute maximum of 20 people, so get your forms and fees in now to avoid disappointment. (This will help me firm up the numbers for each day, and I will keep the official list of entrants here so you can see how many places are left.)

By popular demand it is being run as two separate events; a "formal" competition on Saturday, and an "Experimental" day on Sunday. ?10 gets you into either or both.

Saturday "Formal" competiton ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 12 ? ?Spaces left
? ? Entered
? ? ? ? ?Matt Otter
? ? ? ? ?Tim Hunt
? ? ? ? ?Damien Bradley
? ? ? ? ?Kevin Bott
? ? ? ? ?Mark Preston
? ? ? ? ?Alan Saunders
         Dave Bartley

? ? ? ? ?Tom Sergeant
? ? ? ? ?Chris Hayes
? ? ? ? ?Alex Whitehead
? ? ? ? ?Gary Pready
? ? ? ? ?"Rob"
? ? ? ? ?"Richard"
? ? ? ? ?Tom Webb

? ? "Possibles"
